"Kids can seemingly not put down the books in Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series, and this book is no exception. These books will entice even the most hesitant reader. My only word of advice would not be to necessarily buy this particular book first, as it does not come first in chronological order in terms of the narrative laid out in the series."

"The Son of Neptune is an absolute must read for Percy Jackson readers. A truly exceptional book that everyone should take time to read and enjoy."

"If you're looking for books that include characters with amnesia, this is a decent book. However, to fully understand the main character, Percy, who is the afflicted one you should read the first book in this series. After that, you will enjoy this book as Percy struggles to remember who he is and his purpose. There are probable more books out there that are better for this query, however this is a great option for young adult readers. "

"I am a casual fan because most of my childhood friends have read the series so I jumped on the bandwagon and read the series too. They were really easy books to read, and I have finished the series already. For me it is the Son of Neptune that really stood out, it is the book where Percy finally showed he knows how to excel at being a demigod. Woah, look at that, I might be more than a casual fan right now. LOL."

"Fans of mythology will find pleasure in the fact that their favorite stories of gods and heroes of old, are still being told today! "The Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus)", by Rick Riordin, takes the reader back to a time when "the gods" walked among us!"

"I love fantasy novels, but "The Son of Neptune" was disappointing for me. I liked the mythical-god subject, but it moved slowly and I didn't like some of the characters. If I had a chance to decide again, I would not pick this book."

"Another wonderful book based on Percy Jackson series. Amazing adventures, for those who enjoy a mix of modern word and characters from the old Greek Mythology. This is a second installment of the series and is sure to captivate young adult readers who enjoy fantasy and myths!"

"Honestly the Percy Jackson never really interested me. It's kind of like they were trying to go for a greek harry potter but didn't really grasp what made those books work, so instead we just have the incredibly annoying Percy."

"This book just might be the best book by Rick Riordan. Its plot is definitely more complex than his previous novels. He also goes in directions that are not so easy to predict."
