" This book deals about two key frictional figures (Jack and Eliza) in the turbulent religious, intellectual, and social world of England and, to a lesser extent France in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, which is irresistible.we can read this for the pleasure of getting to know Isaac Newton, Louis 14th, and other historical is a nice book to read."

"I always want to read a longer novel. I think its important to read it and as well, it comes across as something that can be interesting to more than one person. The System of the World did all of that. This was just what the doctor ordered as far as novels go."

"The System of the World (The Baroque Cycle) is one of the best historical fiction mysteries. It is the third book in the series so you probably want to read the other 2 first. It is historical fiction and it is really well written. If you like history, you will love this book."

"This book was kind of out there, but I still enjoyed it. The characters were ripped right from the pages of history and smashed into this crazy story. I kind of loved it! "

"If you like historical fiction novels give this one a go! It's super fun and really well researched."
  • Tammy Wallace

"While this is, technically, historical I wouldn't recommend it for a historical read. It's more of a sci-fi read than history. It's a fantastic book! But my husband used this book to 'study' for a college history exam and ended up flunking. So, good read, bad facts."
