"This is a fun (although a bit too short!) story about an feisty and awesome sword "master" female. This love story is a perfect prequel to the author's next book."

"One thing that I really love in this world is Tang. I can eat that all day long. All joking aside, I picked up this book because I really enjoy the The Tang Dynasty and I know that even though this is a romance novel I do like the back drop. This is more or less a story of Mei Lin, a swords woman that refuses to marry unless she can be bested in a swords fight. Needless to say a perfect suitor shows up and bests her and she is willing to give it up to him. This book was average at best. Nothing to special. "

"I really liked this book. It was a fun read for sure. However, I'm not sure this falls exactly into the category of interracial romance. While there is interracial romance in it, I'm not sure that you can't find a better book that pertains to it more."

"While this is a historical fiction novel I don't think it's really directed at teenagers. It's also a romance novel that seems like it's more geared towards older audiences. With that being said it's still a decent story and worth a look if you're into that kind of blend of genres. "

"I'm a huge fan of history but I also love fiction. After finishing my last book, I wanted to try something fresh. I came across this book and boy, I'm so glad I decided to try it. It's amazing - captivating and entertaining! I love this book so much I've read it twice already. Awesome read."
