"Great recommendation. Game of thrones series are also good"

"Although a bit of an expensive purchase, I was surprised how enthralling the story is! I actually learned to not read from the book to my child right before bed because she won't want to go to sleep! It's definitely in my top 5 novels of all-time; it's a modern classic."

"The Thief of Always by Clive Barker has been one of my favorite books so far. I really enjoy the introduction and character development throughout the novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the author allows the book to cater to the child within all of us. "

"Great book for kids as a basic horror book and even good for all readers. Very strong story line and one that will grip you to the very end."

"The Thief of Always is one of those books that is cute and horrifying at the same time. It takes childhood fantasies and turns them into dark scary things. A good read for the young adult or adult set looking for something scary and different."

"Clive Barker always out for the shock of fear, grips hold of the reader in this story of a little boy. This story takes us through life and what it could be like if we choose to wish for everything we dont have instead of appreciating what we do have. Lovely story line for learning, even if it is not a childrens novel!"

    "by far not the best"
  • Debra Henry

"This is scary but I do not know that I would classify it as horrifying, it is a dark fantasy novel that are made for kids but adults would enjoy them too. Comparing it to Stephen King is a stretch, as Stephen King's books are not made for kids."
