"I picked up the series one day because it really looked interesting and I love stories about magic. I was really into this one. I love that there are more kids in this book, because I found it more entertaining. They have to use magic to help them overcome evil forces and they use the magic they were born with. Very entertaining and suspenseful, I am looking forward to more."

"This was far better than I was expecting it to be. Greek/Roman mythology is not something I would go out of my way to read, but this author has done a pretty good job of making a potentially boring subject into something exciting and even a bit fun."

"I love this author and I love this book. I can never put it down once I have started to read it I feel as though I am immersed in the book and I am actually one of the characters actually living out the story. This book is like a magic carpet ride that will take you through highs and lows, ups and downs. I think it is a perfect solution for this topi and it will not leave you disappointed. It is like being thrown into another time and place."

"The Throne of Fire is the second book in the very strong Kane Chronicles. I wish this type of book existed when I was a kid. I think I would have read a lot more with stories like these. Fully fleshed out and approachable characters that adults or kids can really understand and get behind."

"The middle book of a triology in the Kane Chronicles. Rick Riordan can definitely weave a tale, but at times I am so overwhelmed with all that is going on. Character development is slightly lacking, but the overal plot makes up for that. "

"I think that the suggestion is a good one. I feel like it fits the teens/pre-teens category and provides additional recommendations."
