"I love to read books. In particular, I am a huge fan of fantasy books. When I finished my last book I wanted to start something new so I tried to find the best books with alliteration in the title. I recently stumbled upon "The Two Towers (The Lord of the Rings) and gave it a try. I must say that I am disappointed. The theme of the book is exactly what I love, and the title is a perfect example of alliteration, but for some reason I can't connect to the characters or the story. Next time, I will have to find something better."

"Legendary book by J.R.R Tolkien which is part of a legendary series. If you have not read The Lord of the Rings, get started on it immediately."
  • Joe Walker

"This is *certainly* among the best titles you can find whose title begins with a number. Far more so than THIRTEEN REASONS WHY, that's for sure. This is an absolute literary classic, right up there with ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE. And it will open you to one of the greatest worlds of fantasy ever created, that of THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Can't recommend this highly enough!"

"When I saw the price for this book, I thought either it was a mistake or there is a huge sale going on, but it's SUPER cheap and worth way more than what its asking. Lord of the rings always delivers as most people now, but at this price point, even if you own or have read the book, you gotta pick this up."

"As a lover of the Lord of the Rings series, this book is an exciting continuation of the first book. The adventures continue, more characters are introduced, the fantastical world in which they live is brought to life combining the world of magic with very ordinary human conflicts and desires."
  • Peter Hicks

"While the price of this book is steep, this is easily the best version of this book in print. The gilded pages and high-quality leather look, smell and feel wonderful. This is not the questionable quality leather used on previous versions, this is the real deal. More importantly, this version has, as J.R.R. recorded in letters, reproductions of the Book of Marzubul."

"The Two Towers is by turns my least and most favorite of the LoTR novels. It' the most bleak and depressing of all the books, but Sam's hopefulness and Frodo's internal turmoil make for very compelling reading."

"Who hasn't read or seen Lord of the Rings? The Two Towers is the 2nd entry in a series and again we see Frodo and Sam traversed some hazardous lands to get to Mordor. This entry is darker than the first novel and is just as complex and enjoyable."

"If you've been around at any point in the last decade, you've heard of this incredibly successful story. It's been around for much longer and it remains an enduring classic adventure. This is the second book in the tale, and it's worth starting at the beginning. I didn't care for the movies as much (long movies make me sleepy) but the book is worth reading."
  • Benjamin Hernandez

"Everyone should read this series. It's a must have for any lover of literature. With ORCS, Dwarves, Elves, and Humans what else could there be needed? Tolkien set the standard for the Fantasy genre and it's a great place to start reading."

"Unlike a lot of die hard fans I was introduced to LOTR from the feature film. I instantly fell in love with the series. I recently decided to visit the original novels , even though reading has never been a strong point of mine. The two towers was a amazing read. The best fantasy novel I've ever read and so much more detailed then the movie."

"It was quite interesting. The book presents us with the richest profusion of new lands and new creatures, from the beauty of Lothlorien to the horror of Mordor, adventures to hold us spell-bound, and words of beauty and evocation to bring all vividly before us.The original novel of course is much slower paced; but that not a bad thing, it just was not written as a screen play."
  • Walter Garcia

"Although not as great as the 'The Fellowship of the Ring' (first part of The Lord of the Rings), it is still a phenomenal read. The description of this book should be more engaging, however. It does no justice at fully involving the potential reader in a must-have novel of this caliber. "

"the Lord of the Rings series is maybe my all time favorite set of books. I highly suggest this book to anyone that wants to read it. The only thing I would caution is with younger readers, it is a bit dense at times. If they are not a strong reader, they may blanch at the length and sometimes slower pacing. "

"If you havent read the book series, the Lord of the Rings trilogy is a must. This is the second book of 3 inbetween the Fellowship of the Ring and Return of the King. The adventurers continue on their quest to destroy the one ring as they encounter dangers they have never faced before! A must read! "

"This is of course a well known and legendary book. One of the greatest fantasy books in fact. I had a great time reading it. The world building and characters are interesting, inspired and interesting. It is a good read for anyone age 12 and above."

"I remember first being exposed to Tolkien in grammar school when I read "The Hobbit." Tolkien is a figurehead of high fantasy and all of his work should be regarded with the utmost esteem. "The Two Towers is one of the most action packed installments of the trilogy that includes the epic battle at Helm's Deep. I believe this is a fantastic choice for one of the best fantasy books by a British author."
    Raúl Hernández

"This is a must read book and is the second in the Lord of the Rings series. If you have never read fantasy before give this a try. The author J.R.R. Tolkien invented what we most commonly recognize as elves and orcs, this is a classic book."

"An absolute classic Fantasy story and should absolutely be read by anyone with even a mild interest in the genre. However, readers should obviously read the 1st book, Fellowship of the Ring, before this one or else they will be quite confused. Can't recommend this series of books enough!"

"Love, love, love! I highly recommend this book. See the movie first, or read the book first - either way is good. Tolkien is such a great writer that you can read this without reading part one, but I would highly recommend reading part one first, as it will provide you greater insight to some of the characters."
