What the community says about Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality
- "While not as well-known and name-brand as some of Freud's other works, this one has his name written all over it. Want more weirdly subtextual theories about how everything you do is because you secretly are thinking about sex? Here we are! It's interesting, I'll give it that. I know that a lot of Freud has been proven to be faux psychology, but this stuff does really make you think."
- "Sigmund Freud has led the way in the field of Psychology, but lately, there have been a lot better findings. He was obsessed with a few key ideas, but the human mind is much more complex than that. He focused on mostly sexuality, where there is a lot more that drives a person. Thus, his essays would not be the best choice for learning about evolutionary psychology."
- "Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality is a must read if you are into psychology. All of Freud's works really should be read but this one is very interesting in particular in regards to Sexuality. It's one of the best I've ever read and definitely gives you plenty of food for thought."
