"Tintin is a classic cartoon series that I grew up with. Finding this graphic novel was a wonderful surprise as it brought me back to my childhood. This particular graphic novel is about Tintin rescuing his friend from a plane crash. I love how it brought me back to the feelings I had when I first read these stories."

    "another exciting adventure of tintin"
  • Thomas Jensen

"This is a great book for middle schoolers today, especially since many of the graphic novel conventions that are current today were not there when Tintin was written. The story is adventurous, and the plot is well-structured. Tintin is really out and about in the world, and graphic elements do a good job of complementing the text. This is really what makes a graphic novel work. This an interesting choice if you are getting starting with Tintin, especially since it captures Tibet as a place that the protagonist is not familiar with. Highly recommended!"

"Not exactly my first choice for a graphic novel for teens. It's adventurous sure, but kind of retro and didn't really seem to appeal that much to me, then again, I haven't read any of the other novels in the series."
