"I'm a romantic girl at heart, and I especially love fantasy romances with royalty and castles and vulnerable heroes and heroines. "To Beguile a Beast" is a perfect fit! It features a scarred Scottish naturalist who has had a terrible accident which left him disfigured both physically and emotionally, and a big-hearted heroine who is going to do her best to help bring joy back to his life again. I love this theme, and I'm also glad to see a mature treatment of the erotic elements of the story. I think most anyone looking for a good fantasy romance will enjoy this book! "

"While I'd say the similarities to Beauty and the Beast aren't really significant, other than being a romance with a kind of beastish man, the book was fun. I liked the characters, I liked the dialog. Lots of funny and cute stuff. Well worth a read."

"This looks to be a decent fit for the fairytale romance being retold. It has the themes that one who is interested in that topic would be looking for in a book."

"This book describes a very special romantic story. love is described very sincerely and it is challenged through all the story , but in the end it will be stronger than every challenge. I have had a very good time reading this book and i am sure that it will be the same for the majority of readers"

"This was an interesting romance novel. It was a slightly different plot than the norm for me. Sir Alistair is disabled and the story that evolves shows a genuine loving relationship."

"I was looking for a good 18th century read and came across To Beguile a Beast (Legend of the Four Soldiers). I feel like the characters definitely come to life and it was so hard to put the book down! I feel like this a Beauty and the Beast book set in the past almost. "

"This is a somewhat boring story about a beauty and a beast. The book was okay but left me wanting more. The story was very predictable and did not leave me wondering what would happen next. "

"The storyline in this book is pretty gripping and believable. I like that it is realistic while being fiction. That's what I look for in a romance novel for this category. This book definitely is one you'll want to finish, as I feel the back half is better."

"Elizabeth Hoyt has beguiled a beast all right, ME! This charming story set in the moors of Scotland has echoes of other beasts as well. When the young beautiful damsel, Helen, and the gruff Naturalist, series favorite Sir Alistair, come together you might, as I did, start humming "Be Our Guest." Will the lovely Helen win Sir Alistair's heart? Trust me, just read it and find out! "
