"Watership Down is an exceptional fantasy book. The pictures are what make this book great. Who doesn't love bunnies and when they go off to find a better place to live, humor ensues. This is a great book as told by the bunnies and children and adults will find enjoyment from this timeless classic."

"Watership Down is a classic for a reason, definitely the best little fantasy book that features animal characters, my son, who loves bunnies, absolutely loves this book and he's a teenager, so it has lasting power. "

"This is a delightful book to read and once I got a bit into it I just could not put it down. Adams does a wonderful job of bringing a family of rabbits to life and giving them very human qualities. I purchased this book because I have thoroughly enjoyed his other works. This is one of his best and will make an interesting read for anyone who enjoys a good novel."

"Another classic I put off reading for way to long. Richard Adams certainly knew how to write suspense. His rabbits are not people, they are animals with integrity and a variety of political systems that add to the mix of character building and plot twists. I recommend this book to all readers, no matter what age. And the recorded version by Ralph Cosham is absolutely perfect. He adds so much to the story with his voices of each character. Adams explains that he created the stories while driving with his children in the car and I can see why they should be told more than read."

"This is one of the best books that I have ever read that comes from the animals point of view. There is nothing out there like it. This is a book that should be read by everyone. It will go a long ways in teaching them about civilization as we know it. There are many layers to the book and you will see that as you read it. Its a great read and the author paints a very bright and vivid picture for you. "

"Watership Down is a classic book that takes place in the downs of England. A poor group of rabbits gets displaced from their home by humans and you follow their tale as they deal with predators and other dangers as they try and make a new world for themselves. You will be drawn quickly into the story as the animals seem very real."

"This book drags on and on and I'm not sure I would recommend it. Maybe if you are really bored one night and have nothing better to do but there are more fascinating novels out there to spend your time on. This is more appropriate for middle schoolers."

""Watership Down" is by far one of the best lengthy books I've traveled though. Sometimes you just want something so long, that no matter how hastily you turn the pages, there always seems to be more waiting. This is one of those books, it's long, and it has a good reason for it! Time and time again I have read this book, and always find myself learning or seeing something new and novel in it."

"I don't much know why teens would generally be interested in rabbits, and I dont feel the cover would appeal to that audience. However, it could have some weight to it, and serve quality information/lessons to teens that do by chance pick it up."
