- "The laptop is certainly well-built for its price. There is plenty of brushed aluminium to be found here, on the lid and on the keyboard/palm rest area. Of course, as with most laptops that aren’t made by Apple, this aluminium is quite thin and only present as two sheets. The rest of the outside is just plastic. The body is sturdy and you won’t find any flex anywhere. Even the central keyboard area, which is usually prone to flexing on lesser laptops, is sturdy. "
- "Laptops have come a long way in modern times and my old not-so-modern laptop finally bit the dust. I had to replace it and was looking on Amazon for something new. I came across the Acer Spin 3 and really like the look of it. The reviews were also very good. So, I decided to purchase it and I have loved it for the last 6 months. This thing is super fast and puts my old laptop to shame. It's a definite recommendation."
- "I've been interested in these "convertible" laptops that have touch screens ever since they came out and finally ended up purchasing one with the Acer Spin 3. After playing around with it for awhile I can honestly say that it is a decent laptop overall but probably not one that I would recommend. First of all, the internal hard drive it comes with is of large size at 1 terabyte but it is hilariously slow considering it only spins at 5400 RPM. If you purchase this thing you'll want to install a solid state drive (SSD) right away or you won't find using this laptop particularly useful. The touch screen works fine but I'm not convinced that the "convertible" hinges will last the long haul as they seem to be a little weak and not built to last. If you have the money to spare and you're interested in this technological curiosity you may actually enjoy this laptop."
- "I was looking for a convertible laptop, and an online site recommended the Acer Spin 3. The price was right, so I got one, and the setup and features and specs seemed really good. Unfortunately the build quality wasn't good, some keys broke right away and the touchscreen was iffy. I ended up returning it within a month, lots of promise but bad execution."
