"Recently purchased the UX305FA and it arrived yesterday. Keep in mind this is a very preliminary review as I've had the laptop for less than 24 hours. I plan to update this review as I use it more. Feel free to ask questions and I'll try to respond. I'm going to try to be as objective as possible here and point out pro's and con's that might affect everyone, not just my own preferences."

"This laptop has a good processor and adequate RAM, but the built-in hard drive is a bit lacking. It's definitely middle of the road laptop, that comes in at an alright, but not great price. For me, it's not the worst laptop for software development, but far from the best (I prefer desktops anyway). You'll probably need to buy additional memory - I did - if you get it."

"While this seems to be a a quality product there is no mention of software development. Not sure if it can do it or not. I think it's not a bad solution it just doesn't address what I want."

"The Asus UX305 is an older model and there are loads of new models by Asus. This one still runs on Windows 8, but it does have a 13.3" full hd display"

"This laptop is amazing! Lightweight and powerful at the same time. However, not under 600! If you can afford to spend more than 800, you should get this one!"

"As gaming laptops go, the graphics is sufficiently high, although generally a dedicated graphics card is better, additionally, a faster processor would be preferable. This system would likely balk at high end games and 256GB is not much storage for gaming since most high end games tend to range into the 3GB++ end (it is easy to have over 20++ GB for Skyrim alone). This would make a good laptop, just not what I would really call a gaming laptop."

"ASUS UX305 is a very capable workhorse. The 5th gen M5 and 8GB RAM give me plenty of processing and power and speed. The SSD makes it very snappy to start up. I love this laptop for all around use and it is a bargain."

"This is a great gaming laptop if it fits your price range. There are better higher end and cheaper ones but for this price it works pretty well. "

"I think it's a great price, but that price isn't highlighted."
