What the community says about ASUS X540LA-SI30205P
- "I still have a large collection of CDs, and given the current trend to remove CD/DVD drives from laptops, I had to search for something that can still play them. The ASUS X540LA-SI30205P is good enough for those needs. I play my CDs on it and sometimes I rip lossless audio to MusicBee. The computer is a little slow though."
- " I was in the market for a laptop with a Bluray drive to watch my favorite movies when I am travelling and this one was recommended to me. Unfortunately it doesn’t even matter that the Blu Ray functionality is not there, very little else on this laptop works the way you want it to. When I got it I had trouble with the battery and even with it fixed, the computer with randomly shut down or freeze up. I should have stuck with a better brand or a dedicated blu ray player for my travels. Stay away from this one! "
- "I liked this laptop because it wasn't bulky and it was lightweight. The screen size is good enough for what I use the laptop for and the speed is just fine for word processing, emails, streaming, things of that nature. I really like that the price was right for this product as well. I see nothing wrong in purchasing this for a student away at college or a high school student for that matter. It works well, I have had no issues with it. "
- "This was a good laptop for a good price at first, with a good amount of DDR3 RAM, but I was hoping it would last more than a couple years. It will randomly turn off. The battery life has gotten worse rather quickly. Also, the keyboard is kinda small and awkward to use. Do yourself a favor and look for something better. "
