"First off I want to say that this is a solid laptop. However, Asus and Microsoft have some issues to work out with Asus Fliplock. I recently purchased one of these laptops and when I turned it on and tried to use the flip capability it didn't work. So being a nerdy computer guy that I am I called the manufacturer and started the troubleshooting steps. First off they had me doing all the same things that I had ready tried, like downloading the drivers from their site, trying older drivers, and even resetting the laptop. When all that was done and it still wasn't working I got with Amazon and had them ship me another one.Well here we go again the second one (side note: they both were sealed and brand new) I turned it on like I did before and WOW, still not working. The only difference on this one is that I didn't connect it to the internet like I did the first one. Theory on this is that sometimes Microsoft drivers will overwrite the manufacturer drivers that work better. Once again I called Asus and repeated the same things I did before."

"This laptop is nice because of its customizability; which is necessary for programming students. However, it is not possible to increase the RAM, so depending on usage, this may be a setback in regards to programming capability. The SSD allows the computer to run smoothly when dealing with larger data sets and multiple program operations."

"I bought a laptop ASUS Zenbook UX360CA-UBM1T for my fiancee, and she's really loving using it. THis latop is fast, and the touchscreen makes it really easy to use, as if it was a tablet. I suggest it to everyone, it's a great machine!"

"Not sure about it being for programmers, but it looks like an adequate travel laptop. It's a bit light on processing power, but it is convertible to a tablet mode as well."

"A nice device that I have had the pleasure of checking out before. Asus is one of my go-to brands and this tablet/laptop is exceptionally well built and well priced. Definitely check this out over the $3k surface pro."

"I do a lot of programming for my day job and so I wanted to get a "desktop replacement" type of laptop that I could code on the go so to speak. For the most part, I really enjoy ASUS products and so I decided to try the ASUS Zenbook UX360CA-UBM1T. Now, as a laptop for purely doing work this one is quite decent. It runs everything I need (e.g. programming IDEs, compilers etc.) without issue. If I had any complaints I'd say that they keyboard could be somewhat better and preferably backlit. It has a nice rotatable touchscreen but I really don't use it all that often as my work doesn't require me to. I don't really think you can go wrong with this laptop given the price point."

"The Zenbook rocks! I love that it's like having a laptop and a tablet in one. Plus, the 13.3 inch screen won't make it impossible to read things without having to use reading glasses. "

"This is a pretty interesting device. It doesn't fit in my pocket like my other tablets do, but other than that it sort of works like the tablet. Except it's faster and more usable like a computer is. My other tablets act like my phone with how they run things; this runs like a laptop, but otherwise I can hold it and use it like a tablet. It's a pretty fun combination. I love how the screen moves and folds and twists; it makes it so easy to use collaboratively with others. I'm thinking of suggesting these to my boss for use in the warehouse."

"After joining the team at ACME Web Design, I was given a Zenbook, and now it's like an appendage for me. I know designers are into those Apples, but I prefer this sleek little devil, especially the touch screen. It's like a really really big phone."

"A super nice laptop if you are a Windows user. It is so thin! And it also has plenty of ports on the IO. The fact that it has a touch screen is a great bonus as well. I find it to be very responsive, like a smart phone would be. Can’t go wrong with this one."

"The zenbook is not a great apple laptop for developers, because it's not an apple! It's a decent laptop, but nothing special. Look into a mac book, not this."

"Great speedy, easy to use and quiet notebook. Only issue was the windows 10 system with horrible pop ups and security. Had to install own security for pop ups to go. Love the versatility of touch screen"

"This is a great laptop! I bought this for programming work, and the slim design is fantastic for programming on-the-go. I don't really need a heavy, powerhouse laptop for writing and testing code, so this was really quite ideal for me. If you're in need of a portable, convertible, voice-command-enabled laptop, look no further!"

"This is a great laptop and tablet in one and is perfect for freelancers who need to present projects to clients because you can easily demonstrate apps from the tablet part and then go back to the laptop functionality for easy typing and working. The laptop mostly runs pretty smoothly but I have had some trouble using the adobe creative suite(photoshop, etc) with this and if you have too many apps open at once you will notice a lag. So I would mostly use this for light work and then client presentation. It's a great value however, and I would recommend this for someone who needs a portable device that is lightweight and travels well."

"Asus is one of the brands that i trust among many for its reliability and durability for its products. I had several Asus products before including a netbook which served my needs for years. I bought ASUS Zenbook to upgrade my ASUS collection. The features are very appealing. With 360 degree of rotation, the product feels like a very advanced and complex tablet in my hand. The touchscreen is other feature that i wanted to have for the ease of use. Especially, its 256GB SSD makes it super fast to have access to your file system with no apparent lag. The product design is very elegant and highly portable for any kind of task. I hope the Zenbook will serve me for years to come"

"The touchscreen on my ASUS Zenbook stopped working after 60 days or so and ASUS wanted $300 just to look at it with no guarantee of repair. Before then, the screen jumped around at the slightest touch, almost rendering it useless as a tablet."

"This Zenbook is great for CS students who are getting into programming. This laptop is also touchscreen so people who needs to design can use this very easily too. The weight is not too bad so it wont break your back. I recommend this for freshmans who need a cheap, reliable laptop."

The only difference on this one is that I didn't connect it to the internet like I did the first one. Theory on this is that sometimes Microsoft drivers will overwrite the manufacturer drivers that work better. Once again I called Asus and repeated the same things I did before. This time the tech support guy was baffled as to why it wasn't working. He sent me on to the tier 2 support but said that could take 24 - 48hrs for them to get with me and when they do they can get with Microsoft to fix the driver issue, but they didn't know how long that was going to take.At this point, I am tired of dealing with a brand new laptop that is supposed to work right away. Now with all that said the laptop itself is very nice and I really find no fault in the manufacture. I have bought and will continue to buy Asus products. I think it is an issue with Microsoft changing something in an update that broke the link between the manufacturer driver and the hardware. That is the reason I gave this three stars, it would have been four but due to the fact that this laptop is a 2 in 1 and that function isn't working, I took one star off. If though you don't care about the 2 in1 and want a very thin light weight laptop that is very comparable to the Dell XPS 13, then I would get this one. I did end up going with a Dell Inspiron 7378 and I am very happy with that, it is a bit bigger but still just as nice. Sorry for the lengthy review I just felt like I could help out and keep someone else from going through what I did."
