"This is definitely a vintage camera, however this only solution only leads me to a page selling many of the same product. It doesn't show me anything of value besides pricing from different sellers. There are barely any pictures and no descriptions of the product. When clicking on the actual product info; It does give some information, but its very lacking. Barely any pictures and any product information."

"This is a pretty good film camera, but in 2018 I think it should be reserved for enthusiasts. I received this as a gift and I'm very pleased with it. It's odd to say that at this time this is a niche product, but I would recommend it as a gift for photography enthusiasts and those that are looking to start developing film in a darkroom."

"Old classic--Very functional and quality product for those who want to learn photography and the old school manual method. Good for portrait photography but not best as it's not a modern digital camera."

"The Canon AE-1 is hard to beat for a 35mm SLR camera. It is built solid and has the right features to make it a staple to rely on."

"In general, it isn't really a great idea to consult the internet for gift ideas. The best gifts for each person requires knowing something about the person - unless you plan to give them $1,000,000 as a gift. This isn't a very good solution because it assumes the groom wants a camera."
