What the community says about Canon PowerShot ELPH 190 IS
- "The zoom function broke on my older camera so I needed a replacement. I went with this one because of the 20 megapixel resolution and the 10x zoom, which is optical. It's exactly what I needed and the image stabilizer has helped a lot in low light situations to take beautiful photos. "
- "Bought for a two week vacation. took around 1800 photos. For the most part, all the pix are great. the refresh cycle is pretty fast. it slows as the battery drains. but I got five days or 500 pictures per charge. I have not set up any of the wifi features so I can not comment on that."
- "Canon has always delivered with their PowerShot series, which was launched a long time ago. The quality/price ratio is always attractive and this new iteration doesn't disappoint in that regard. For beginners, it's hard to do better than that if you want a point and shoot that still has some flexibility while being absolutely reliable and easy to operate. And the quality of the images is there, actually much better than what you can get elsewhere at the same price point. We gave one to my mother-in-law for her birthday, and the quality of the photos she takes has been impressively superior to what she had been doing for the past 50 years. I don't think she got any better, I think Canon really gives her the freedom to take photos of what she likes and makes it look good, even if she doesn't know what she's doing. A no-brainer."
- "Size is okay for what I wanted. This camera comes without memory or a USB download cable. It took forever to setup before taking its first picture. Manual is very sketchy. It is a real disappointment compared to my earlier Canon cameras. Moving pictures to a computer is a real pain."

in What are the best cameras"I wouldn't say this camera is top of the line, but for the price it does a good job. The zoom quality isn't great and that is frustrating. If you are trying to take a lot of high detail pictures you might be disappointed, but for the everyday point and shoot this camera would suffice."
