"Sometimes it can be hard to buy nice things for a decent price. These seem to do the trick. The sound is good and the comfort of these is even better. These have leather headreasts so they are great quality and really comfortable. "

"This is a nice entry-level monitor over-the-ear headset. Price is right, sound is decent, but the wiring means you will be replacing these once every year or two. IMO pony up for Sony's tried and true, unchanged since the 80's, the headphones every album you ever heard was recorded with: Sony MDRV56/V6. I had a right driver go out and Amazon replaced my headset even though it was out of warranty. This will do you fine if you're setting up on a budget, but you might as well buy $20 Sennheiser HD 201's TBH. That's a proper budget headphone, but similar to this it has poor wiring requiring yearly/bi-annual replacement or rewiring if you are a pro and can do that sort of thing. MDRV6's on the other hand, last about 10 years. They got it right the first time, Sony, so why short yourself on quality for 40 dollars?"

"These are very good for the price and quite comfortable to wear, as well. Good clarity, very good noise cancelling and surprisingly good sound, overall. A good pair of headphones if you're on a budget. "

"These headphones look cheap, and they are. They are easy to break because they are made with low-quality materials. There are similar ones that are better."

"Good earphones with good sound quality. I wish it had bluetooth capability though. Good product for the price."

"My kids busted my headphones again. I needed another pair that would not break the bank. I grabbed Edifier H840 off Amazon. I was surprised how nice they looked. After trying them on I was happy with how comfortable they were. I have been using them for a while and they seem like they will hold up for a while. I am pretty happy so far. "

"These were a little more expensive than my other Bluetooth earphones but I kept losing that one since they were wireless. I'm able to keep up with these and the sound is awesome! It's definitely worth the price."

"I needed a pair of headphones so that I could work on my laptop at my favorite coffee shop. These fit the bill just right - lightweight and comfortable to wear. They have a good sound quality and reduce the amount of background noise."

"If you are looking for headphones that cover your ear well, these are just perfect , and they won't cost you a fortune. The build is sold and the sound quality is acceptable for the price. "

"I received these headphones as a Christmas gift and they've single handedly renewed my belief in Santa Claus. The sound quality is amazing for such an adorable pair of headphones, they fit great, and no external noise gets through. There may be better headphones out there, but you won't find anything that works this well at this price. "

"These headphones are not only stylish and affordable but have amazing sound quality. When wearing them, I feel completely out of tune to all outside noises. It makes me feel like a real professional for cheap."

"The Edifier H840 headphones, coming in at only $40, look and sound a lot more expensive than they are. Their sound quality is as good as plenty of headphones that cost twice as much, so I recommend them if you want a quality build at a budget price."

"Descent headphones for the price I must say. I ride the bus and the train a lot so there's constant misc noise going on and these work pretty good at canceling them out.I say the headphones are good when someone has to tap you to get your attention in a quiet and/or noisy environment. "

"The Edifier H840 are an over the ear headphone set that are noise canceling. They come in sleek colors like blue, black and white. So comfortable you can wear for extended periods of time even. "

"I was happy to try these headphones out as the price was right and I am on a budget, unfortunately, this is one instance where you get what you pay for. While the headset itself was built well uncomfortable, the connecting cord is very thin and looks liable to break after a little while. The sound is also somewhat muted, it doesn't have a rich sound, they also aren't noise canceling as stated, you can still hear other things going on in the room."

"I needed a pair of small, inexpensive headphones that I could carry with me anywhere. I also needed them quickly, so I bought a pair at the first store I visited. I ended up with the Edifier H840. They are good headphones, and they were under $50. Unfortunately, they are just a little too big for my personal needs. I do love the over-ear feature though."

"At the 50 dollar price point its sometimes hard to find noise isolating headphones that actually work The Edifier H840 is no exception although they offer a professional sound and solid build the noise cancelling feature can be described as a noise reducer at best si it really depends on how much of your surrounding noise you want blocked out "

"The last time I replaced my headphones I looked at the Edifier h840s. The problem is the ear cups are quite small, these are more of an on ear headphone than an over the ear headphone. I think you could find a better price on on ears, or step up just a little bet to get a better pair with replaceable full sized ear cups."

"For under $50, these are about as good as you can get in terms of solid headphones. The sound quality is crisp and clear, and I haven't had any issues with the materials."

"A great budget solution for when you need over ear headphones but can't afford to fork out on the expensive brands and let's face it there are a lot of situations where expensive headsets are simply not an option. I got these to replace broken headphones my daughter uses for her Chromebook. So far they're holding up well."

"You may have never heard of Edifier like myself, but I have to tell you about these awesome headphones. They sound amazing and best of all, they are under $50. What a steal these headphones are. The one thing that I was most concerned with when purchasing them was the sound and the comfort. I have to say I am impressed in both areas. Give these affordable headphones a chance and you won't be disappointed."

"These have good sound quality to them. The cord is pretty long so that can be good or bad depending on how I need to use them. They don't completely cancel out noise but it's pretty close."
