"My Toshiba Satellite P55W can take anything I throw at it. It is fast with both personal and professional use and I've found it incredibly stable so far--not a single crash! The 1TB drive means I always have my files with me and don't need to rely on the cloud."

"I was looking for a convertible laptop to help me with my presentations. I'm at all not happy with my purchase. It is flawed right out the box and the battery will not hold a charge."

"I got this laptop because I have had good luck with Toshiba before. But this one, the battery will not stay charged. And even when it is plugged in, the warning window comes up constantly saying the battery needs to be charged. Not Good!"

"I love this laptop. I've always been a huge fan of Toshiba computer since it was my first laptop I've ever owned. The camera on this laptop is flawless. I can skype with my family clear across the world and it looks like they are right in front of me (they tell me the same). I love the versatility of this laptop. It seems like it can do just about anything. "

"I got this laptop when it first came out and it SUCKED! It was so slow and the screen would go completely black after a few minutes. "

"The P55W is comparably light and quite slim, too, composed largely composed of brushed aluminum. In regular use, the keyboard, touchpad, and touchscreen are all accurate and responsive, and the audio quality is high. The battery life of beyond 6.5 hours is great, especially with the screen size and overall weight. "

"I wouldn't recommend this laptop to anyone. Yes, it has 8 GB of RAM and supercharged parts but I think that's why I've had so many problems with it. The battery can't keep up with what this Toshiba has to offer."

"I've had very good luck with Toshiba's in the past also, which made me decide to order this one even after reading the only review available for this laptop "Battery DOA and Power Cord Port Flawed on Brand-New Machine ByJulianne McGinnon November 16, 2017" in which she gave it only two stars (one star too many, in my opinion. This was incredibly stupid of me, because I experienced the exact same problems she listed with mine. And no, they couldn't have sent me the exact same laptop she returned, as it was factory sealed. Right out of the box it would not work without it being plugged in, although the battery showed a 100% charge. If that wasn't bad enough, a few days later an onscreen warning starting popping up every 20 seconds saying the battery charge was extremely low and to plug it in immediately. And it WAS plugged in, of course, since it wouldn't turn on without being plugged in. I tried several diagnostic checks with no solution and I did not want to go the route of shipping it to Toshiba while the 30 day window to return it to Amazon expired, so return it to Amazon I did. I also have a real problem with the laptop being listed on Amazon as "Newest High Performance Toshiba Satellite..." I'm not sure how they define "newest", but I found out this laptop is was manufactured in 2015 (even on the factory sealed box is a promotional tie in to the 2015 release of the extremely bad Fantastic 4 movie reboot). Exactly how a 2015 laptop get's listed as "NEWEST" is beyond my comprehension, maybe in a newest find kind of sense, like "we newly discovered a couple of pallets of these 2015 laptops that Toshiba had declared impossibly defective and shouldn't be sold, but hey, that was over two years ago. Let's try to sell them now!" I will say however, that Amazon was very easy to work with regarding returning this defective laptop."

"This is a horrible item. The power cord was defective and wouldn't charge the battery that lasted an hour at tops. Also, this was touted as the "newest" computer from Toshiba, yet it was already 3 years old and insanely obsolete. Stay as far from this trash as possible."

"This is not a good solution because it is a laptop not a battery."
