"I loved the story and the visuals in this game. I enjoy the lonely/walking simulator genre of games, so Dear Esther was right up my alley. I can see how it wouldn't be a game for everyone."

"Dear Esther isn't really considered a "game" by many. Furthermore, with recent updates, the game stutters and starts skipping around, making the whole experience far from relaxing."

"Very relaxing experience, and a great little interactive story to just mellow you out. The scenery is beautiful and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, of any genre fan."

"I love exploration games, so I gave Dear Esther a try. While the graphics are pretty astounding, the actual game play was lackluster for me. There was a lot of walking around and reading strange writing. I think there was somewhat of a ghost story but there wasn't any real suspense or tension for me. I didn't feel engaged or connected at all to this game. There are plenty better options on Steam for me to play."

"Dear Esther is a very interesting game, following a man reading letters from a deceased woman named Esther. If you are looking for a game that focuses on much darker themes, as well as one with beautiful nature graphics, then it is the perfect game for you. However, if you are sensitive to the subject of death or other disturbing topics, then it may not be a good choice for you."

"I love Narrative games, and so I fired up steam to look for some and came across this gem. Dear Esther is a great narrative game, and since it's available on steam you can pick it up today! It's super quirky and I love it!"

"I would not buy this game it does not have anything appealing to me. it seems quite boring for an adventure game, i know i like a game after i look at at most 30 seconds, i spent quite some time reading about this game and i am not interested. Just not for me. it's too simple."

"This immersive and intriguing game is a captivating and emotional experience you'll never forget. It's a deep, moving, thought-provoking, and at times hopelessly lonely adventure that is sure to change your life. At least that's what everyone keeps telling me. I could never really get into it, personally."
