"Cute game but it is so challenging that sometimes it gets irritating playing this. XD I hope there would be more games like this one as it only explores what is possible in this type of multi-genre game."

"This dungeon crawler is one of my favorites as I love the classic Japanese art and charm that ooze from it. It's a very challenging game and provides countless hours of entertainment. The game play is well designed and provides a great mix of challenges and rewards. "

"Japanese people really are very good on utilizing technology to its full potential. Being realeased 8yrs ago and creating such game. I mean today there are other games better than this but wow it was 2010 and this seem to be much advance..."

"Recettear is cute, at first, but can quickly become kind of a repetitive grind. There's not a lot of late-game content. It might work better as part of a larger game where the item shop management made up a part of a larger whole, perhaps."

"I was disturbed by the message of the game, Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. Games should be fun and fantastical, but the premise of this game was that the central character's father skipped out on a loan and she was now forced to earn the money for that loan. No enjoyment can be had based on a father's low moral premise."

"This is a fun RPG game to play. It's cute, with an anime look that will appeal to many. One cool thing is that not only do you do the usual dungeon crawling, but you also get to set up and run a shop that sells items."

"I was wanting to play an old-school JRPG so I purchased Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale after looking at the reviews. This is just the game I was looking for, as it is fun and allows for great adventures. "

"Pretty standard RPG fare. Graphics are good, but nothing to get excited about. Maybe if this was the first one I've ever played I'd be more impressed, but this felt really ho-hum to me."

"On the surface Recettear doesn't look like a Dungeon Crawler, it's actually hidden under a layer of business simulation game play. Once I got going though I found a very deep dungeon crawler hidden beneath, it allowed me to do dungeons, claim treasures, level up stats etc. just like a real RPG. Another nice element to the dungeon crawling is I was able to take items I had earned and sell them in my shop. This checked the list for what I wanted and more."

"Check out Recettear if you like RPG games. It's definitely like a typical Japanese RPG game, so if you like those types then you'll probably enjoy this game."

"I have been looking for a vasual indie game, and my friends recommended recettear. At first I thought this was some kiddy weeb game, but I quickly realized how engrossing and interesting this game was. Recettear is casual enough that I can pick up and play anytime I want and quit with no repercussions. It fits my lifestyle perfectly. "

"Casual indie games, that combines a relaxing gaming experience while enjoying a game made by non triple A developers. Typically indie developers put more work love and effort into games to make them stand out from the rest. This is a good reccomendation for this game."

"Steam is a great platform for indie games and one interesting game I've recently been playing is Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. It is an RPG game where the main character, Recette Lemongrass, manages an item shop that she runs from her house. "

"Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale was fun at first. The styling was somewhat original. Overall though, I felt the game was too easy to complete. There wasn't enough challenge to the game and could complete quickly."

"Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is a very effective Indie game that is available on steam. I was able to fully immerse myself in the world and have an opportunity to participate in a few of the dungeons thus far. So far it has kept me coming back to it to explore further and see how the story will be resolved."
