"I want to say that Vagante is an action packed platform game that I just can't step away from, but that isn't necessarily true. While I really enjoyed the classic look to game and I liked the overall intention of the game, I must say it was very difficult to get use to the controls. It really is close to Roguelike except I would say it just lacks something that Roguelike had. I'm not sure what it is but there's just something off about it. I do appreciate that Steam has made this available though. I like that the combat is fast paced with good precise movements, there isn't a lot of clumsiness there. Where it kind of falls short is just overall control. I'm playing this on PC, and it definitely comes close to Roguelike, but the intuitive controls aren't there for me. Maybe it's my poor reflexes and dexterity but I don't think I'm that bad! I will definitely give it another run. Hopefully I can get more into it this time. I just dread overly difficult learning curves in games of this nature."
"If you like roguelike games, then Vagante is your game! It's like Dungeons and Dragons coming alive and blending with Mario and Zelda. The creators definitely put in their time creating an incredibly engaging world for us to explore. The ridiculously addicting levels are extremely well crafted and the pace of the battles are by far some of the most fun I have ever had. The quests involved take you deep into another world, which I love to explore when I play with my friends. The team wars are even more vivid than ones we have played on Dungeons and Dragons. Overall I think Vagante is a perfect blend of new with old and it has an incredible imagination to really make a whole engaging universe for you to explore."
"Vagante is an Independently developed game which has some unique features that may set it apart from other games in its genre. Vagante is described as an adventure game which takes place in a dark fantasy world filled with creatures and crooks. One of the most unique feature of this 2D side-scrolling game, is that it actually features permanent death. This twist on the traditional game play of having 'lives' , or re-trying a level if you die, looks like it could be an interesting change in certain rules in a game. The site says you can play Vagante with friends in Multiplayer mode and describes it as "...an action packed plat-former"."
"If you like rogue likes it's probably a must have. The split screen is totally integrated in the game and it feels fluid. Generally, the game flows smoothly thanks to a beautiful gameplay that runs like a charm. And the game doesn't skimp on interesting details. For example, there are new bosses on every level and tons of back door accesses and secret pathways - and that adds to the excitement and the feeling of a rich universe. A lot of fun when played with friends as well, which is a plus for me. Not crazy about the artwork but I have to admit it's well done and it works - so, who am I to complain , right? Overall neat."
"Vagante is an interesting game. It's not much of a looker, but it's got some neat ideas in there. It's just unfortunate that I don't like rougelike games, so this one didn't really appeal to me. Also, it's still in Early Access, and I hate the idea of buying an unfinished product with the vague promise that it'll one day be completed on my dime and the dimes of everyone else who bought it ahead of time. Still, it's not a bad game, and I think there's some bright ideas in there, but it's not for me, and even if I did like rougelikes, I couldn't recommend it until it's finished."
"The graphics are pixelated but the design of each level and the scenery was lovely. The music was good. The action is non-stop. It is a side-scrolling action packed dungeon roguelike game. You play in caves, dungeons, outdoors and have to defeat a myriad of enemies. It is still on early access but you can play with friends co-operatively once the game is fully released. However, if you can't wait for the full release of the game and don't want to play a game that may have a few glitches here or there you might want to look for something else."
"With roguelike games becoming more and more popular for developers, it's always best to keep an eye out on new releases. Some of them fall flat, but fortunately this one seems to be a gem in the rough! Even though it's in early access, and I advise caution before jumping straight in, it shows a lot of promise and I've had a blast on it so far! I can't say that it offers too much innovative from the genre, but the ability to play with others is nice, and once it's more fleshed out I feel like this will be a quality game to invest in."
"There are a lot of action-adventure 2D platformer rogue-lites on Steam. A LOT. It seems like every other indie title in Early Access is a roguelite platformer. But this one has some good ideas, at least - it has a rich fantasy theme and some well-balanced gameplay, at least. But if you're looking for something genre-defining or revolutionary, you're just going to have to move on. If you really love the genre and are interested in a solid example, I recommend it - but otherwise, it's not going to add anything new."
"If you asked me a year ago when I bought Vagante if I thought you should buy this game I would point at the early access tag and tell you to wait. Well it's a year later and I'm saying go for it, the developers did not abandon it and instead are bringing it steadily to completion. That doesn't mean this game is easy, it as hard as you would expect but it is also fair and that's what makes a good roguelike. My only caveat is some lingering bugs that I would have hoped would have been squashed by now. "
"This gamer was developed mainly based on the feedback from the beta demo version. The developers truly wanted to create a game for their game players by giving them exactly what they wanted. This is a very rare opportunity that you don't want to let slip by. Together with their expert skills they interrogated points that their players wanted to have changed or added. This is as close as one can get with features that truly seem custom made just for you. You definitely want to try this game out. "
"Vagante is a new game on Steam that I've played a couple times in Early Access. It seems like it's a really great concept - and it's a really hard game! It's fun to play with my friends, so we can try to get through it together. It's something I could play again and again, in single-player or multiplayer, as it has much to discover even after the first play-through experience. Lots of fun if you're looking for a really hard game that will give you hours and hours of gameplay action."
"Sigh. I usually like this kind of game, but to be honest - it's yet another 2D sidescrolling platformer rogue-lite in Early Access. There's just so many of these games, and I've played quite a lot of them. Vagante is just...generic. It's not even boring - I did have fun with it. But there's just utterly nothing memorable about it. It blurs together along with a host of other, and better, and more unique roguelikes. Just - there's a lot of other roguelikes out there. Play some of those."
"Vagante is one of those games I am torn about. It's kind of cutesy yet it punishingly difficult. I have to admit I have never been the biggest roguelike fan but like to indulge on occasion. This one though I just can't seem to get a handle on. Not to mention it's an Early Access game so who knows exactly when it will be completely "finished". But if you want a bit of challenge and don't mind a bit of Early Access wonkiness there are much worse things to spend your money on."
"Vagante is a modern roguelike game that does well in capturing the essence of the genre, with many of the positive and negative elements that entails. On one hand, the graphics are quite nice, and the game has almost endless replay value. On the other, the game is very, very difficult and mostly unforgiving, and developer support sometimes is not the best. Fans of this genre will probably like this particular title, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it as a "blind" purchase."
"Vagante is wonderful. I've been playing for about years now and it's still a blast going back and playing through.I like this game a lot and while its pretty difficult, I found it gets relatively easy with knight and holy maxed out. This way finishing it in its current state takes a way shorter time than with spelunky at least for me, but of course this is not a finished game. Still I think holy is overpowered you can just run through all levels totally invincibel.."
"Vagante is an interesting title. It's not going to win any awards, but that doesn't mean there isn't fun to be had. There is both offline and online co-op so you can team up with friends in this roguelike, but that's about the only way to have some fun. Vagante is quite unbalanced and despite being out for years, isn't quite ready to being a complete game. I did enjoy Vagante when there was a friend around, but grinding it out in a game like this was not desirable."
"This is a challenge. That’s a good thing as I hate games that are based on luck or no skill at all. Having said that, this game can get frustrating at times because it requires skill, and it’s perma-death which seems like a good idea at first, but can get me close to rage quitting after finally getting past something that I struggled with only to die right after over something stupid. STILL, the absolute triumph after finally reaching a goal is like no other."
"It's really fun playing with other people. My wife and I play strip-RPG, where every time we die, we have to take off an item of clothing. I'm not really sure what she gets out of it, but I know I enjoy coming up with very complicated Rube Goldberg-ish mechanisms to get her killed without it being obvious. Before Vagante, my romance days were counted times per month. Now, sometimes, there's some carousing more than once a week! I heart you so much, Vagante!"
"Vagate is a great rougelike to play if you enjoyed games like Terraria and Steamworld since you are exploring underground cave like areas and the gameplay is action oriented and even though it is difficult, it never feels unfair. There's also a lot of gratification when you make it just a little bit further than you did with your last character. I also really like the fact that it has co op. I had a lot of fun playing this game with my friends!"
"Do I recommend this game? Sort of. it's a great game, no, fantastic. However, I have my reasons why I sort of advice to step away, however if you love rogue likes or you're looking for a great split screen game, this is for you.
4 classes, one being unlocked, 4 skins for each and a ton of perks to choose from.
4 worlds, 3 levels, 2 soundtracks for each world, when unlocked
SPLIT SCREEN CO-OP!!
Online as well
Lots of unlockables"
"Vagante is a fun rogue like game. This game is very fast paced, you won't get bored. You will need to invest a lot of hours in this game to get where you want to be, but thats a benefit, its well worth the money you invested in buying it. You can get a lot of play time, because you can play as different characters and start over again. It does have a steep learning curve, but once you have that down, you will really enjoy this game"
"This is a very difficult but fun and rewarding game (which is how all roguelike games should be). The controls are great and the gameplay is even better. I'd have to say it's one of the best roguelike games on PC at the momwnt. However, the only downside is that the game is still in "Early Access". If you don't mind funding a game that is not complete yet then I think you'll find it has tons of content and challenge already waiting."
"This roguelike PC game is quite unique! The world it's set in is dimly lit which creates a mysterious ambiance that permeates the gameplay. It's a little like an old school game that I think was called "Ghouls, Ghosts, and Goblins"...or something similar. In any case, there are all kinds of "baddies" to defeat and the play control is quite smooth. I would advise anyone that likes adventure / fantasy games to give it a try!"
"Vagante is a somewhat strong roguelike, but not quite to the level of a Nethack. Permadeath mechanics means every run is important and difficult, and every time you go in you need to be taking extreme care to search every corner and pay attention to every enemy. Overall, I feel that this is a good game to scratch the roguelike itch, but you might do better looking around for a while more if you haven't played them all yet."
"There's a lot of action going on for this side scroller dungeon/cave exploring game. The graphics leave a bit to be desired, and the game play seems as if it would get repetitive after a little while. It's always fun trying to run around and collect items in chests and avoids monsters and traps, but this type of game became too tedious for me after awhile. The graphics left a little bit to be desired as well."
"The purpose of this game is to find a treasure that is hidden at the edge of the woods. You need to travel through a cave that holds many mysteries such as magical maps. This is a challenging game that you can play on your own or with your friends online. You can save things in the book of secrets. This is a great rogue-like game if you are up to challenges. Will you be the one to find the treasure? Great game."
"So many games are re-makes of an existing game. Vagante is still being developed using feedback of the users. I really like knowing that I might have a say in the development of this game. I also like being able to teem up with friends locally or on line and fight through my levels. I like collecting magical items on the way, especially magical potions. The music is fun and just inspires a sense of adventure."
"Vagante is one of the best roguelike games to come out in recent years. The retro graphics hark back to a time when game play mattered more than slick graphics and add yo the enjoyment. As you creep though the dungeons you have to contend with traps, monsters and a wide range of difficult to complete your quest. They say this will take a least 100 hours to complete and your time will certainly be well-spent."
"For a long time, I have been a PC gamer and Vagante is a game that serious gamers should look at and give a try. The system requirements are light, which is nice. Experience is an advantage as I would say you will be impressed by the different classes and levels that will allow you to play at your own speed. You will find it rewarding when you master it, you will feel like you have accomplished something.
"I am always looking for new roguelike games to play on my PC and I am happy to have found Vagante. It is set in a dark fantasy world which is unlike any other roguelike games I have experienced. The best and most intriguing part of this game is the ability to play in split-screen with your friends. The only issue I have with this game is the lack of updates. Sometimes it feels like it is still in beta."
"Vagante is great for people looking to get into the Rogue-lite genre while not fully committing to the Rogue-like genre. It rarely gets boring thanks to the procedural generated levels for the player to explore, with or without friends. The game is currently in Early Access and has been for awhile, the updates haven't been as fast as I'd like. But for you'll probably get your moneys worth out of it."
"This is a layered side scroller in a dark environment. It's a bit challenging to play because it seems like everything can kill you, and it's really hard to get started on a good run as a result. I gave it several good tries and I think it could be fun, but it will take lots of patience to get good at it. It's still under development so hopefully the final version will take this into account."
"Mix and match game play and split screen combine with awesome graphics to make this a really neat game. I can't seem to get very far without dying though, haha. It can be glitchy sometimes but the really neat thing about the game is that it is constantly being updated. It's a mixed bag for me though, I don't have a lot of time to put in to the game and it is really hard for me to advance. "
"While the reviews for Vagante are very positive and the hardware requirements are very minimal, it should be emphasized that this is an Early Access game. It is not yet complete and you may experience bugs. If you are okay with this, then it looks to be a great game and it's worth trying. If you're not okay with this and would rather play a finished game, then this is not the game for you. "
"I love PC games. I'm especially rogue-like games. One of my favorites on the PC is Vagante, which is a dark fantasy-adventure game. It's action-packed and a TON of fun. I love it! I highly suggest checking it out if you like rogue-like games, especially for the PC. This game has great graphics, great music, great story-line, and great game-play. It has everything and I highly recommend it."
"I always get Castlevania deja-vu when I play Vagante. It's a decent enough game, and I found myself drawn in, but there's nothing that really gives it individuality. Additionally, it's just way way too dark! Still, not a bad way to spend time while on the subway, now that I've been told if I ride one more time just wearing an overcoat and nothing else, I'm definitely getting arrested."
"If your like me, you like games where you don't always have to fight to win your objective. Sometimes a little stealth goes a long way. Vagante is one of those games where sometimes it is better to avoid a fight head on, and come at it from a different perspective. Many exciting enemies to fight and lots of upgrades to your equipment make this a great game you will hate to stop playing."
"I recently saw an ad for a game that I do not think I will like. It's called Vagante, and its the perfect example of a rogue like game because it's so open ended and allows for a lot of player choice. While some types of people love this kind of game, I like games that follow a more ridged layout. It's disappointing that the game is so "choose-your-own", because the graphics are cool!"
"Vagante wants you to create your own RPG adventure as you search for treasure in dangerous dungeon-like caverns. I have died many times, and in many different gruesome ways, in the time I have spent playing Vagante. If you are careful (you have to be) you can avoid being quickly crushed by a boulder or being mortally impaled as you fall on sharpened spikes. Local multiplayer only."
"Definitely one of the more fun indie games I've played on Steam in a while! The best part of this game is you don't have to be great at it to progress. It's just challenging enough that you don't really get bored with it, without being so complicated that you get frustrated and quit. Definitely recommend it if you have a few bucks and are looking for a fun Indie game to play. "
"started out just watching Pakratt play this, and kept telling myself will get it on sale, oh i will wait till its done. Finally gave in and bought the game and I love it. I just get so wrapped up in the game that it doesn't matter I'm terrible and keep dying in awesomely horrible ways. From the sounds to the weapons to the enemies it is so well thought out and put together."
"More of the same. But that's not a bad thing. Except for one refreshing twist: split-screen co-op. Even on my brother's terrible laptop, the game ran smoothly with both of us jamming it out. We did get a little bored eventually, but did end up picking it up about four hours later. Family friendly? I wouldn't show it to mom, but, while fun, it is nothing to write home about."
"I am a PC gamer and Vagante is a game that serious gamers should look at and give a try. The system requirements are light, which is nice. Experience is an advantage as I would say you will be impressed by the different classes and levels that will allow you to play at your own speed. It is rewarding when you master it, you will feel like you have accomplished something.
"This is a solid roguelike in a sea of competitors. You can find so many of these that it's hard to recommend just one, but if you've played all the competitors, there's no reason to skip this. If you haven't, then you'll have to decide based on the aesthetic and gameplay whether this is one for you. For what it's worth, side scrolling roguelikes tend to be a lot of fun."
"I'm a big fan of roguelike games when I have a few hours to kill. There's nothing better than exploring a gamespace at length, encountering new terrains and battling new monsters and other baddies around every corner. That to me is the appeal of Vagante, an immersive roguelike that has given me hours of fun already...and I feel I've barely begun to penetrate its mysteries."
"I am a PC gamer and Vagante is a game that serious gamers should look at and give a try. The system requirements are light, which is nice. "Occasionally, I like to get my rogue on, and Vagante did not disappoint me. When I was looking for best roguelike games on PC, Vagante stood out as something that I haven't yet explored, but would love to. This fits the description of what I was looking for perfectly; with demons, monsters, and supernatural things around every corner, I really think you'll enjoy this one."
"Vagante allows for both online game play and offline with friends. You will immerse yourself in a world that is dark and filled with monsters, demons and don't forget the crooks to try to steer you wrong. You will be on the search for fame, fortunes and power as you over take them, looking for a treasure in the woods, watch out for danger and proceed with caution. "
"I was told to check this out for "something different." I agree, it is different, and not exactly the type of game I'd go out of my way to check out again, but the first few hours of this have kept my attention. The game looks and plays very well, it just depends on how much you enjoy this type of game. Overall, I like it, and might be interested in a sequel. "
"This game is still in early access. If you're okay with that, then you should consider the fact that is has received a lot (1,000+) of very positive reviews and that it is not at all hardware intensive and that it is not at all wallet intensive ;-). If early access isn't your thing, then you might want to wait for the developer to develop this game further."
"I have not personally played this game but from what I can tell it looks fun! This game reminds me of Castlevania from the 90's which was a great game for sure! This game is 2D and has all the necessary action to really get a player engaged in the rogue storyline. Since it enables both solo and team play its a good recommendation for players on the PC."
"Well designed levels with that same retro gaming feel from when you were a kid. Exciting boss battles that make you think, rather than just how fast you can press the shoot button. The availability to increase your characters ability by upgrading your items. All of these, and many other things, make this one of the best games in the steam lineup."
"This is just what I was looking for in a roguelike game. The setting is a perfect mix of characters and fantasy monsters. Its a dark world where anything can happen and anything goes. It really lets my imagination run wild. I like the different adventures and the game always keeps me on my toes. I can't wait to see where my quest takes me next. "
"This game is fantastic, it's challenging but not too frustrating and very fun at the same time. Graphics are well done, and the sound effects fit nicely. The game has four different levels, each harder to beat than the previous one. Each level has its own tough boss battle to overcome. It's one of the better 2D rouge games in the fantasy genre."
"Vagante is a complex, dark fantasy that has a huge world to explore. Sometimes I feel like I'm lost in the world really fighting monsters and questing. The neatest thing about this game is the ongoing development by the game team, new stuff is periodically added which makes it fresh and a constant challenge. If only life were really this cool."
"This is a decent solution to the topic because it is not the full game. It is an early access game so you are not getting all of the content so it is not quite finished yet.It is a PC game and does have good reviews with everything that is done so far but again it is not quite finished and things may change over time because it is early access."
"The graphics look nice in this sidescroller - the depth, darkness, and the fluid movement are all beautiful. This looks like a fun side scroller, although it appears to require a greater bit of control than I'm comfortable with. It reminds me of one of the earliest games, pitfall, as you play a character who explores and looks for treasure."
"Although I had been gifted this game doesnt change my view on this great game. Vagante is a rougue like 2D dungeon crawler and its many secrets and different numerous items keeps the game interesting and discoveretive. Keep in mind you may need to sink quite a bit of hours into the game, it is not an easy game prepare to die and keep trying"
"Vagante is an addictive, fast-pace roguelike PC game, available for both Mac and PC. At 15 bucks on Steam Vagante is an absolute steal; there are so many options to customize up front and so many different territories to explore. I've been playing for a solid day and still don't feel as if I've seen a fraction of what Vagante has to offer. "
"This game is still early access, but it's already a classic to me. This is one of the best rougelikes I have ever played. The generation of every play-through is some of the best I have ever seen done. The replayability in Vagante is immense. I have hundreds of hours logged in this game and it still doesn't get old! I highly recommend it!"
"Vagante for PC is up against some tough competitors in the roguelike category. While not as spectacular as Everquest and the like, the game solidly holds its own with unique features and a dark, suspenseful theme. I recommend Vagante for anyone looking for something not so mainstream but equally as good, this is definitely a hidden gem!"
"I am always looking for roguelike games on my PC. I have tried many different games, but have always come away unimpressed. I recently tried the game Vagante, and I think I have finally found a winner. I love the graphics, story line , and ease of play on the game. It is definitely a game that I got all of my friends hooked on as well."
"Vagante is one of the best rogue type games I have seen in a while. The side scrolling is fun and the controls are easy to navigate. The fighting is very quick paced and keeps you on your toes. The graphics are good and the gameplay is seamless, not full of glitches. I recommend purchasing this game, it's only going to get even better"
"My friends said for a rougelike game on the PC that I should try out Vagante. I gave it a shot and just didn't care much for it. I like better graphics and there are certain aspects of the game that I just don't like at all. I'm not a huge fan of adventure games to start with, but Vagante was very stale and I got bored quickly."
"Vagante is one of the top-rated roguelike games on Steam for a reason. The game is entertaining yet difficult, and the dungeon-crawls have kept me busy for hours! I love the 2D platform and how smooth it runs. There are many secrets to discover within the game as well! Overall Vagante is one of my favorite games, categories aside."
"Vagante is a really fun platformer that you can play cooperatively, which is one of the things I love about it. I like playing co-op games, and this one offers a lot of creativity and excitement that you can experience with your friends. I recommend at least trying it out and seeing what you think! I have played it for hours. "
"You will avoid jump into a dark new world and it will be your job to avoid the traps designed to put you down for good! You will be immersed in this action pack game with friends, online or off or go solo if that is your preference. Collect over 100 items through four different areas in a new world, hours and hours of playtime. "
"Honestly, this game is awful. It looks like it was created by a middle schooler. You’d be better off playing Snake on Atari! The description of the game makes the storyline sound interesting, but it really isn’t. It’s bland and very poorly written. Features are limited, and I became bored within five minutes of playing this game."
"This is honestly one of the best games in my Steam library. Out of the 50+ games I own, Vagante has some of the most replay value. Every individual play through is very unique due to the way everything is intelligently generated, and the art and story set a very engaging mood. For a rougelike, the co-op is very well done as well."
"Vagante is a great game if you like rogelike games. It has a really engaging world that is so well crafted your imagination just comes alive when you;re playing it. It is action-packed with great music but did have some pixelation and a few glitches. Still, it was fun enough and gorgeous enough to make me want to keep playing. "
"Vagante is just an awesome game. I love playing this game for the challenge and excitement that it offers. There is also a great deal of imagination on display here, which is something that I love. I think that the gameplay offers enough challenge that even the most seasoned players will have a lot of fun playing. Great game!"
"For the best roguelike game on your computer check out Vagante. I really like this game, easy to play and I've always like the fantasy style games. You can spend a lot of time on this game and really get your money's worth from it. It's also easier on the system resources so you can use an older system and still enjoy it."
"Roguelikes may be my favorite types of game; there's often just so much to explore. So after dozens of hours playing Vagante, I find I'm still uncovering aspects of the game I've never encountered before. With single and multiplayer modes, and selling for only 15 bucks, Vagante is a solid addition to your PC game collection."
"Vagante on steam is very different from the usual. It is still a game in progress when I started to play it so it may change as it goes again. It has adventure and monsters which is a plus since I love that genre. Every game is different as your choices may lead to permanent character death. A real challenge to get through. "
"I always enjoy a good roguelike game. There are many roguelikes out there but I like looking for the best roguelike games on PC. One of my current faves is Vagante. It is a dark fantasy game that is different every time you play. Each game of Vagante is a new experience and it is a great game to play with friends and family."
"Vaganete bas been one of the best roguelike games that I’ve found for the PC in awhile.its an adventure game which is set in the dark fantasy world. There are crooks, demons and monsters. The graphics are pretty amazing for being a PC game. I’ve really enjoyed playing it and will continue to play whenever I have free time. "
"I love the story of a drifter, and this one is in a neat little fantasy package where the world is dark and mysterious. It's also a platformer game, which is nice to take a break from the 3D games once in a while. There's a neat little story that goes along with it, and I love being able to follow along the story as I play."
"The premise of this game is what caught my eye- I love fantasy games! I’m a bit disappointed, though, to be honest. The game has an incredibly underdeveloped feeling, and the story line seems a bit bland. It doesn’t do much to set itself apart from other fantasy world games, and I felt like I wasted time and money on it."
"The link is to a SteamPowered Store product page for the game Vagante. The reviews for the game total 1,039 with 19 recent reviews and received a very positive review rating. The gameplay allows you to play cooperatively with friends both locally and online, or adventure solo in this challenging roguelike-inspired game."
"This is a lot like the fantasy game you wished they would have come up with growing up, but they never really made it past Zelda, which wasn't exactly always platform-based. It's a beautiful game that really fits in with the times. The play is a little more complicated than it looks, but the challenge is well worth it. "
"This game allows us to play together and it does offer skills other than just shooting and killling things. It reminds me a bit of the mario games in that you are avoiding certain pitfalls and trying to advance levels Overall I would recommend this as a family friendly game for the kids that parents can enjoy as well"
"Although I enjoyed playing Vagante, please keep in mind that this game is not in it's complete form yet. It's not really a roguelike game in my opinion. It reminds me of arcade games like donkey kong and pitfall. If you like old style arcade type games, you'll love this one. Hopefully they will add more levels soon."
"This is a fairly polished roguelike on Steam -- the graphics and music are beautiful, and game play is smooth. Probably best for intermediate to advanced level players as it can be a bit difficult. The only major drawback is that this game has been in early access for quite a while, and may never see a 1.0 release."
"Some of my favorite video games are in the roguelike category. I am always on the lookout for the best roguelike games on PC. My favorite roguelike at the moment is Vagante. It features procedurally generated level and local co-op. This makes it a fun couch co-op game to play with your friends or significant other."
"Vangante casts you as an adventurer exploring dungeon like caves in search of treasure. There are a lot of traps and the game can be somewhat brutal so expect to die often, sometimes within seconds. Although some of this will be bad luck and cannot be avoided there is also much to be determined by your skill level."
"Vagante is a rouge game for pc that is available on Steam. It has been around since 2014 and is very positively reviewed. It looks a lot like a Duke Nukem rip off, but people love the game. It offers single player and co-op play and the co-op is available local and over the internet. It fits the topic nicely."
"Vangante is sort of like Dungeons and Dragons if it was a video game. You go on quests to fight monsters and gather treasure while fighting off various scoundrels and rouges along the way. It's not the most realistic or advanced game, but it is well done and a lot fun. "
"Not the best game there is, but not the worse. Its an interesting game with a lot of different aspects you must conquer in order to proceed. A bit too complex for my liking as the gameplay is sluggish. If the game play was sped up a bit and some of the unnecessary stuff eliminated, it might be worth my time."
"I noticed there was a good amount that you could customize in this game. It was a little difficult at times and I didn't really like the art direction much at all. I thought it was an okay game, but it didn't capture my interest much. I played the game for about two hours and then stopped. Not worth it for me."
"Really not something to write home about. The controls are pretty annoying, but it is what it is. I don't see myself playing this again. The game is lacking in a lot of areas, but the only positive thing I can say about it is that it reminds me of another game I used to play on my old Nintendo back in the day."
"This one is fun actually, and I am surprised I like it as a parent. I didn't expect to because of the name, but I have to say my kids, both boys and girls, have a lot of fun with it. It is fashioned like Mario Cart games, but more intriguing. The kids like playing against their friends. Pretty great game."
"This game is very much like any other fantasy game, especially with the monsters. However, I still find it fun to play. Racking up points and defeating characters in the hardest aspect of this game. Using potions and other special items to complete your missions makes the game a little better than Warcraft."
"Disclaimer, this came is very difficult and you will struggle. To me this adds to the challenge instead of frustrating me and has made this one of my all time favorites. The characters can go on a vast array of paths resulting in a nice variety. Gameplay takes adjustment but it is well worth the time."
"Vagante is game that really makes you think. It's a fantasy game that offers a lot - many levels, classes, opportunities, exist in this game. It's a new game each you play. I like the fact that you can play together with to four of your friends. I like avoiding traps and this game offer a lot of that"
"Vagante is a great fantasy game that sends you on a quest similar to most games in the genre. This has one of the better story lines that I have seen. The battles are tough but rewarding. You can level up and get more cool gear as you go when you collect treasure. Really fun game that's very well done."
"For a low-bit video game, this provides some customization and re-playability. It's a pretty tough game but allows for lots of learning and charater development. I wouldn't necessarily peg is as a 'rogue-like' game due to the graphics and actual content, but you can choose to be of a rogue-like class."
"This game is a lot of fun. It doesn't have the best graphics, but it does offer a great variety of ways to play with other people (Online and local co-op). It's still in early access, so I can only assume it will improve with time. But you have to be into that retro gaming look to really enjoy it."
"If you like games like Zelda you'll most likely enjoy this one. Although I love Zelda I didn't care much for this one mostly because of the old school graphics. I know tons of people love that but that's just not me. Not bad for a $15 game though. My kids will probably enjoy it more than me though."
"I am a big fan of games featuring rogue environments and game play. A game that I recently found after reading a review for it in a gaming magazine was Vagante. I would have to say this is the best game so far that I played that completely integrates a lot of roguelike elements to its game play. "
"This game was really challenging, but that just made it more addictive. Seriously, you'll play through the night if you have as little discipline as me. The only thing I can say negative about it is the graphics were a little too 2g, and at times tough to make out. But overall I liked the look."
"Vagante is an arcade platformer currently available on the Steam platform on PC. It has rougelike elements that help differentiate it from other games like it. I had a lot of fun giving it a try. If you're looking for one of the best rougelike games you might have never heard of, give it a try."
"I was looking for a good rougelike game on PC and was told to check out Vagante. The graphics are great and the gameplay is a ton of fun. It looks very roguelike and I really enjoyed my time with the game. As long as you don't mind retro graphics, this game is great and I highly recommend it. "
"Vagante is kind of a weird mix of Minecraft and Mario in terms of how it looks, so if you’re expecting an action game like call of duty or battlefront, this is not your game. However, if you’re OK with the mazelike layout of the world, it’s pretty fun and the game’s story is enjoyable enough."
"Vagante is immersive and entertaining. It's one of the better roguelike games. You can customize your character, including background. As you look for magic items and collect clues in the Book of Secrets, you will be amazed at how much time as passed because you are invested in the gameplay."
"Permadeath may be the worst invention in gaming history. The ability to die forever is only accentuated by the ability to get lost in the dark caverns of the game. I can only hope nobody else ever has the experience of face palming because the corner was slightly to dark and now you're dead."
"I really enjoy playing roguelike games, especially on the computer. My favorite current game right now is Vagante. The graphics are really great and the game environment is really immersive. I love the gameplay and the enemies, too. Everything is really unique. I highly recommend this game."
"Vagante requires you to learn and adapt, or you die. It's that simple. It's one of those games that makes you keep thinking about your travels and quests after you have logged off. It has a really phenomenal attention grabbing ability and will take hours away from your day very easily!"
"Vagante is an action-packed platformer that features permanent death and procedurally generated levels. Play cooperatively with friends both locally and online, or adventure solo in this challenging roguelike-inspired game. ... Vagante is an adventure set in a dark fantasy world filled ..."
"If you like challenges, this is your game. I have logged in 145 hours and still have many things that have not been accomplished. A lot needs to be learn so you will struggle at first. If a player get easily flustered, this may not be the best fit, for all other, I hugely recommend. "
"There's a lot of roguelikes on the market these days and Vagante doesn't really do much to set itself apart, I have only played it a couple of times and I don't think I'll ever pick it up again. There's so many more things you can be doing with your time and I honestly can't recommend it."
"Vagante is Early Access for now but it's still a great game to look at and to play. It's a fantasy game filled demons, thieves, monsters and all types of dark creatures and foes. It can be played co-op or solo and progresses as you play. Even in early alpha, it still has great reviews."
"I usually don't like horror. Whether it's movies or games, I stay away from anything horror. I heard my friends raving about Vagante and reluctantly decided to give it a try and I have to say I really like it. Keeps my energy up and makes me feel like I'm exploring a whole new world.
"I usually don't like horror. Whether it's movies or games, I stay away from anything horror. I heard my friends raving about Vagante and reluctantly decided to give it a try and I have to say I really like it. Keeps my energy up and makes me feel like I'm exploring a whole new world.
"Rouge-like games are extremely popular these days. Vagante combines a typical side scrolling adventure with elements from the rouge-like genre, making for something new and different. I have tried many rouge-like games in the best, but this is one of the most fun I have played on PC."
"Vagante is still in development but you can get early access to this fun fantasy game. Both an adventure game and an arcade game, you can play a variety of characters with access to all types of weapons. The Vagante world is dark but fun and you'll find yourself completely absorbed."
"I tried out the early access of Vagante and wasn't disappointed. It's a solid rogue-like that will keep you busy for hours. I still would recommend The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth if you want a rogue-like on PC that will truly hook you. It's the superior rogue-like experience on PC."
"I really enjoy playing games that feature rogue elements in them. There’s not a lot of them but I have been obsessed in find the best ones. A great game that has many of these elements that I found recently was Vagante which has an amazing dark fantasy world in which to play in. "
"This game is pretty much a fantasy adventure side scrolling game. One of the great major features about this game is that you can play with a friend locally and also online. Which is a great addition so that friends can enjoy these games together rather than just by themselves."
"Released in 2014, Vagante is known for being a tough game to play and an excellent one. It has diverse classes with 4 main and then sub classes for skills which you can mix and match to play. It has different levels of game play allowing sole player options or coop play. "
"A solid addition to the roguelike genre. There seem to be a lot of side scrolling/platforming roguelikes over the last few years, but this one has a really interesting art style and solid combat, so I'm definitely a fan. Give this a shot if you enjoy roguelikes and action games."
"i'm not a fan of platformers but i'm into spelunking irl, so that's cool. i wasn't aware 'roguelike' was even a thing. it's not my thing. but even within those genres, vagante is nowhere near the the best. (i did like that feature where character classes look like tarot cards.)"
"A very tough, roguelike game that features perma death and seriously challenging play. If that's your bag, then you'll love it. I absolutely love this style of play, so I couldn't get enough of it. It will take quite a while, for most players, to get anywhere with it, though. "
"Vagante is also a favorite of mine. I love the fantasy genre in general, but when it comes to a game that never gets boring, Vagante is my choice. There are not many games within the fantasy genre made for the PC that can match Vagante in terms of action and easiness to play."
"Vagante is a early access game on Steam. It is a 2D dungeon crawler set in a world of dark fantasy where you must take on adventures that change every time you play the game in a procedurally generated world. The game also offers online play, so you can hook up with friends. "
"Vagante is a platformer game available on Steam. It has been available since 2014 and very positively reviewed on Steam. You can either play it solo or in co-op mode. It is definitely a roguelike game and reviewers are big on it. I would say it fits the topic pretty well."
"Vagante's graphics remind me a little of the old Mega Man games for Super Nintendo. I understand these visuals have a certain nostalgic appeal to many users. Personally, I don't see the point. Modern graphics look so much better and aren't significantly harder to produce."
"I'm a huge fan of roguelike games with a megaman or castlevania style game play. I came here looking to see if I could get a suggestion for one that I haven't played before. The solution was Vagante. This game is amazing and I don't know how I didn't know about it sooner!"
"I would have to say that overall the game was pretty bad, but in a good way. This is definitely one of the best roguelike games. With every turn in the dungeon and the fact that I kept dying, wasn't really an issue. It was good that I couldn't tear myself away from it. "
"Even though its 2-D the monsters and other bad guys are very well designed. The fact that this game has local co-op makes it all that much better. This game is an absolute recommendation for those enjoying 2D platformers with a mean streak I love the story line as well."
"This is a @D scroller that always leaves you guessing. Using procedural level animation, no two run throughs will ever be the same. The game is currently Alpha, however the developers are on their toes about getting the game released to the public as an office release. "
"Vagante is a roguelike game available on PC. While it is currently in early access, it still offers a lot of content that keeps players interested. It's also a highly rated title that allows for single player, local co-op and online co-op. Definitely check this one out."
"This is a throw back to the 90'd as far as graphics and style Very detailed gameplay with ability to make it as challenging as you want. Many plots and sub levels make this game fun and fresh for hours. One of my favorites and will look for any sequel to this. "
"If you are looking for a rouge-like game, you have to give Vagante a try. It is an exciting game for the Pc that is set in a dark fantasy world. The game takes you on an adventure through exciting lands filled with monsters and demons. Trust me, your going to like it!"
"I like roguelike games on my computer. Vagante is one of these. They made the gameplay very enjoyable. I like playing with my friends locally and online. This game has a good story and is real challenging. I play for hours at a time. I would check this out for sure."
"Vagante is one of the best roguelike games found on PC. It is available on Steam and is a great fantasy game that introduces the gamer to "monsters, demons, and crooks." This game has great scenes and cunning strategy if you can navigate through the tough levels."
"I just couldn't get into Vagante. I'm more of a fan of stellar older games like Hunt the Wumpus, where there's real danger, and you have to use your imagination. These kids, with their sprites, are just so spoiler. Get off my gosh darn console, you gosh darn kids!"
"I was pretty surprised as to the depth and challenge that this game had to offer because the graphics can be a bit deceiving. I recommend getting a friend to team up with and seeing how far you can make it. The game had a lot of little nuances I didn't expect too!"
"I understand why it appeals to some people, but the game just wasn't for me. It is a rogue-style game that you can play with others online, but I found it tedious and very long-winded. It took a while to get my character going and by then I had lost some interest. "
"Vagante is a perfect combination of adventure and fantasy that keeps you engaged and gripped. It encourages you to use your skills to discover the path to combat the monsters and demons. The multi-player capability and customizing characters adds a special touch."
"Vagante is one of those "dark fantasies" that nightmares and good video games are built on. Many levels and opportunities to kill monsters and demons, and has great graphics to go with it. May not be for the younger set but older teens would definitely love it."
"This game is pretty fun. I play it on steam and had a blast, for sure. It's a perfect mix of Rpg and platformer, and it's got fun levels and fast-paced action. Some of the levels are HARD! I'm not ashamed to say it took me a while to advance through a lot of it."
"If you like rouge like games, you will love Vagante. This is one of the best multi player games on Pc. I love the adventure and traveling through strange lands. I cant recommend this game enough. I have spent so many hours playing this game, and i'm proud of it."
"Vagante is one of the funniest games that you can play on your PC. It's a playformer that will lead you and your friends be the adventurous rogue you've always wanted to be! It's got enough side scrolling action to keep you occupied and entertained for hours! "
"Vagante is challenging adventure with a lot of mystical creatures that you must destroy. Work together or alone as you destroy these creatures and capture power and prizes that will help you along the way. This game is really difficult but also very rewarding."
"I was looking for a PC game that would pique my interest and hold it for a while. I stumbled upon Vagante with no knowledge of what it was. Set in a fantasy world, you are battling monsters, demons, and crooks almost the entire time. I have yet to put it down."
"Vagante provides an excellent setting for an adventure as you move from location to location getting more money and fame. Packed with action, Vagante is a fun game for the hardcore gamer and amazing soundtrack. Definitely one of the best games in recent times!"
"Vagante isn't exactly bad, but it's an early access game. Why does that matter? Because you never know when they'll be finished or what bugs you may encounter. So if I am telling someone about 'best' I would definitely look elsewhere and find a complete game."
"Vagante is an awesome rogue style game that truly challenges the player (with elements such as permanent death). The pixel art is fantastic and the idea behind the game is exciting. If you really want to challenge yourself, this is a great game to check out."
"I really liked Rogue and wanted to find a game like it for PC. I ended up finding Vagante which runs great on my older PC. The game play is fun, the graphics are pretty good and there is decent character development. I you liked Rogue, you'll like this game."
"Vagante was an amazing game to me because I love adventure games which are filled with monsters demons ad crooks. Its really fun when you travel to the unforgiving lands questing for fame. The game makes you feel like you are in real world.I did like it a lot!"
"It's a rougelike but there's definitely better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to boo the game, but going into an early access title is a huge risk. It may never be finished, it may be buggy as can be. Either way, go find something that's a full release."
"This is a hard game, but keeps your interest. I am a little concerned about the development though. It is still listed as early access after being out 3 years. I'm not sure what is going on there. Overall it is one of the best roguelike games I have played."
"This is an old game with very old graphics. It reminds me of the games I used to play as a kid in actual arcades, which is why I like it. That means it's not for everybody, just older souls like me who like nostalgia. Younger people would probably hate it."
"I'm going to have to trust that this is rougelike because I don't know what that is. My friend said I should search these games after I played with him the other day. Either way this looks like a game I would really enjoy and the reviews are very positive."
"Vagante is a new platform fantasy game filled with demons, monsters, thieves and all number of adversaries. It's a rich world and can provide hours of fun as you battle your way through this dark world. It's co-op too so you can join in with your friends."
"Set in a dark world, Vagante offers gamers the ability to travel through fantasy lands looking for treasure and riches. Many monsters and demons to contend with throughout varying environments should keep the attention of the players for quite some time"
"Vagante took me on an adventurous journey into dungeon like caverns on my quest for treasure. If you play this game expect to die quickly and often at times because there are a lot of ways for that to happen. Sharpened stakes come seemingly from nowhere."
"To me this game was just okay. It wasn't the worst ever but I can't see myself spending much time on it. It's a rogue type game but there was nothing novel or interesting about it. Seems the same as so many others in the genre with no fresh take on it. "
"Vagante is probably my all time favorite roguelike. I'm always happy with games that mix roguelike elements with different genres, like platforming or adventure games, and much like Rogue Legacy Vagante takes the idea of roguelikes and improves upon it."
"I like games where you are a drifter, in a dark fantasy world. You get to investigate the curiousities of this strange new world in Vagante. It's a side scroller, so you pick up the gameplay pretty easily. The graphics are beautiful and pretty detailed."
"Vagante is a fun roguelike clone available on Steam. It's definitely tough but well worth the effort. The graphics are beautiful and the music is great -- the game has been in early access for a few years though, so keep that in mind when purchasing."
"A great game. I really got immersed into the world they created. It has a ton of characters and quests. I have gotten a lot of hours of game play for the money that I spent. If your looking to really get swept away then I would suggest giving it a try."
"This is a fun roguelike game, usually I don't find interest in roguelikes, but this one caught my attention with multiplayer, and it has fairly good ratings. It is early access, but I believe the developer will continue to work on it and improve it."
" Searching for games to play on my PC. Vagante Was just a game I needed. With quest that makes sense in a dark fantasy world, you’re always fighting of demons and monsters in order when you alternate price. Again we can keep your attention for hours."
"A very cool roguelike game that kept me up past my bedtime, several nights last week. Challenging, downright hard at times, almost frustratingly so, but not enough to override the exciting game play. A well thought out game that delivers in spades!"
"I'm always on the lookout for a great rougelike game. The controls are a bit weird at first, but you get used to them. The level of difficulty is what i would expect out of a rougelike game, so, no detractor there. Overall, a game worth picking up."
"Awesome game for fans of the genre. Still early access but already a great variety of mobs, items and environments. Great online play with friends and just generally a shining example of how fun these sort of impermanent games can be. Recommend it."
"Vagante is a 90s style game with old-fashioned graphics. However, it's not boring. The skill levels are a real challenge, so there is a lot to learn. The option to play with others online means someone is always on, no matter when I want to play. "
"If you like a game that is challenging i would suggest you play Vagante. As frustrating as it is sometimes when you beat it you feel great and forget how hard it was. it has many secrets and lots of dangerous items that keep the game interesting "
"I love this game and would recommend it. Even though it is still in development. The game has so many levels and different skins that you could replay it over and over and it still be like a new game. Me and my friends have had a blast playing it."
"Vagante is one of the best roguelike games on PC. Game play is dark and exciting and you can travel the world battling the bad guys. It has good graphics and will keep you entertained for a while. Definitely download this one if you liked Rogue."
"I had a blast playing Vagante at first. There are plenty of worlds to explore and the soundtracks are good. I got tired of it much faster than most games like it though. I can't pinpoint why. I just sort of got bored with it for no good reason."
"Vagante is pretty awesome. The storyline is intricate and the characters are great. I love the demons and monsters that are included in the game, and I felt like the sense of adventure was strong. This game had me pretty hooked for awhile! "
"If you are ever looking for a rogue-like game for the PC, Vagante is a great option for you! It has all the qualities of a rogue-like game, including classes, skins, randomly generated instances, and you can also play with your friends as well!"
"Vagante is a futuristic adventure where you travel to different places to increase your riches. You find monsters and crooks along the way, but you have more ability each time. The graphics are impressive, and each level you find new obstacles."
"Think of Zelda on steroids, with more violence. Perfect action game for playing alone or with others. No two games are alike as you can "die" on your adventures. This makes the game worth playing as you can persevere through the dark levels."
"This is a really well made game. There is a good progression to it so that you can keep challenging yourself as you go along. Lots of classes worlds and levels to go through. Would definitely recommend if you want a fun split screen game."
"This demo game allows you to play by yourself, with others in the same room, or with others online. It is still in development, but it is nearly complete. It is a 2d interface that features action, death, and continually developing levels."
"Ah, the roguelike games... what a delight they are. Well are you a fan of them? Did you enjoy for example the Thief series? If yes do yourself a favor and grab Vagante. The only person regretting your decision will be your girlf/boy friend. "
"The smoothness is extreme, while playing i did not even have a second or two delay the gameplay was great and had a nice smooth flow. If you have an older monitor it might not be that smooth though it plays better on plasmas or lcd screens. "
"This game is the perfect mix of dark fantasy and adventure. Vagante takes you on a journey filled with monsters, demons, and crooks. Clever strategies and plans help you discover and unveil the mysterious world of the monsters and demons. "
"If you’re into dark fantasy, this is definitely the game for you. It’s kind of like a fantasy meets Mario situation in terms of gameplay, so don’t be expecting the next assassins creed, but it is fun for just an afternoon slot or something."
"Vagante is an interesting and challenging game for the PC that's great for those that enjoy playing in a dark world of creatures and monsters. Though keep in mind the controls are sometimes annoying and the game isn't totally finished yet."
"I normally steer clear of games in the rogue like genre because of the insane difficulty, but something about Vagante called to me. Maybe it was the intriguing fantasy setting, or the unique character design, whatever the case, I'm in love."
"I was looking for a game in which I got to play as a roguelike character. Vagante was the perfect game for what I was looking for. Monster, demons, and crooks. As well as traveling lands looking for fame, riches, and power. Great game!"
"This game is in early access, but so far it's a shining example of the roguelike genre. With procedurally generated levels and beautiful atmospheric graphics, it's a joy to play. It has online play so you can play with your friends, too!"
"I think Vagante is an up and coming game and the future is bright, but I would like a few more things before I am able to call it one of the best in it's class. The graphics and fast pass are very fun to play and I also like the charector."
"Vagante is a great rogue-like adventure with a ton of replayability. The art style sets a very unique mood, as do the sound effects. The stats in the game are well designed and the procedural generation is unpredictable in a very good way."
"Cheap, rogue like game on steam that isn't completely terrible. It features a compelling story, decent game design, and developers that actually care about the game. I'd predict that one can get a full week of enjoyment out of this one."
"Losing is fun! A good procedurally-generated platformer, though the gameplay itself is initially restrictive; not a lot of alternate paths or good loot until later on (though, the unidentified loot can have some fun cursed side effects)."
"Pretty graphics for a dark world. 8-bit action, but there are puzzles to be solved within the leap and run action. For a such a juvenile setting, this game offers some entertainment while you're waiting for something else to occupy you."
"The solution is adequate. It takes you to a page where the game Vagante is offered. You can watch a preview and also purchase the game if you wish to do so. This page has content, its a steam page and theres also a complete description."
"This game was just too hard for me and I didn't like the art. I had a feeling going in that it wasn't my thing, but it does nothing to sell the idea to non-fans. Maybe if I was already invested in the genre I might have liked it though."
"Vagante is a great game for PC where you can play solo or with friends in a dark fantasy world with monsters, bosses, traps, and enchantments. You can customize your character and discover secrets as you move through the unique worlds."
"Vagante is a monster filled adventure set in a fantasy world. You need to explore the treacherous world.
Go through dangerous traps, Discover magical items, fight powerful enemies. You need to survive the adventure while having fun. "
"I thought this game was a little difficult. It has some rich customization and inspired level design, but it can be challenging play. I thought it was alright, not that great, though. I had to be patient at times due to the difficulty."
"This seems to be an interesting game that fits what I want. Never head of this before but I'm willing to give it a try and the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this. Overall pretty good solution that fits the bill for what I want."
"Vagante provides a "Final Fantasy type" of look and I love it. Played straight through and was able to beat the game with both classes - leaves you wanting more. Some of the controls need a bit of fine tuning but overall a great game!"
"I used to love playing this type of game and it turns out I still do. It was a lot of fun to play though I'm not very good at it. I love the old style animation and the simplicity of the game. You shoot at things and get riches. "
"I've invested many hours into this game. If you ever played Spelunky, then you'll understand this concept of game. It is challenging, but, and best of all, an online (and local) co-op game. This game is definitely worth the purchase. "
"If you have a thing for pc games than this is the game for you that have monsters, demons, and crooks. I love the game because you have to deal with danger and adventure at the same time. The game is amazing with great graphics also."
"Rouge-like games are a dime a dozen on Steam. Vagante is of the mediocre ones. Once you play through it once, you probably won't feel the need to come back for more. If you like more challenging games, this could be the one for you. "
"Vagante is a game that reminds me of Terraria, with all of the death and glory, and minus the building. It draws me in with its action and tension, and keeps me coming back with the new look of the map and creatures in each dungeon. "
"Good split screen game, but can be hard to get started. Gameplay is interesting and keeps your attention, but feels like an advanced level game and I tend to give up easily. Graphics are smooth and colorful. Good all around game."
"This is certainly among the best roguelike games you can get on Steam. The permanent death feature adds a sense of tension every single time you play. You can even play this cooperatively, which is a little uncommon for roguelikes."
"Vagante is pretty good. It's one of those games my family plays against cousins remotely. It's a fantasyland full of evil and danger that the whole group can get into. I think it's a good choice in the roguelike games on PC. "
"Vagante is a good game but I wouldn't say it's great. It's still got a lot of bugs wrong with it, and it's just not the best game I've ever played. With that being said, it'll entertain you for awhile if you like roguelike games."
"VAGANTE IS A GREAT GAME. IF YOU LIKE ROUGELIKE GAMES, THEN YOU WILL REALLY ENJOY THIS. "?
YOU CAN PLAY ONLINE, WITH FRIENDS, OR ALL BY YOURSELF. PLAY FOR HOURS ON END AND YOU WILL ENJOY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY."
"Vagante is a terrible game. It supposedly is an adventure in a world of monsters, demons, and crooks. It is very unrealistic. The characters in the game are almost just silly looking. It was not well programmed in my opinion."
"Awesome roguelike game that has a surprisingly large amount of gameplay! The level design is top notch for it to be made by such a small team. The dungeons don't seem to be repetitive and the sounds and gameplay are excellent."
"Vagante for the PC is one of the best roguelike games I've seen. I've always like the dark fantasy games. Mostly I enjoy the long game play and feeling like it's an alternate world. It's easy to get lost in that kind of game."
"I would expect to see a different, 3D games one someone mentions roguelike games. Vagante game seems user and tech friendly but I am sure there are many games on the market which involve a rogue character like Assassin's Creed."
