"My wife loves disaster movies, all kinds of disaster movies, the more dire, the better. Cheesy bad acting, unrealistic science, mega-tsunamis, volcanoes and collapsing buildings, this stuff is her jam and I was so excited to tell her 2012 was up on netflix. Me? I couldn't deal with five minutes of this movie it is so head scratchingly bad, but if you are a disaster movie person, go for it."

"This is an interesting movie featuring John Cusack, based on the predictions that the world would be ending in 2012 through a series of tragic, natural disaster events. The movie has received quite a bit of mixed reviews though. The key part of this movie seems to be the apocalyptic events that really make this movie stand out, more than just the actors or characters in the movie."

"I was on the hunt recently for one of the best disaster movies of all time. I had heard about the movie 2012 before but had never taken the time to watch it. After finishing it I can see what the critics were raving about. This movie was put together really well."

"The first time I watched 2012, I was in awe of the visuals. Earth nearly goes bye-bye, but it does so fantastically. Thandie's character Laura was used as a great way to portray empathy, amidst all the explosions and crashing and that freakish tsunami."

"This is an OK movie. It has great special effects and that is what we tend to like in recent years. However, I would have to recommend one of the older classic disaster movies over this."

"2012 is one of those movies you shouldn't watch before bed. The suspense and the destruction of environments kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time."

"Disaster movies are always a let down for me. 2012 was no exception. Sure it had great effects and lots of action but the story just falls short."
