Malcolm McDowell is perfect in the protagonist's role, and skillfully makes the audience feel every emotion towards him, from revulsion to deep sympathy--just as the film requires. This might not be Kubrick's best but it's still a classic and a true must-see film."

I don't know about you, but I'm not all that interested in understanding violent thugs, or bringing myself down from watching this depressing stuff. And it turns out, it's based on a book, but the screenwriter didn't have the last chapter of the book! Sad."

It's based on the book by Anthony Burgess and like the book its pretty disturbing. But not without reason. The movie digs deep into crime, punishment, and society. I won't say more for fear of giving something away. Just see it."

It's not my favorite Kubrick movie, but it is definitely a masterpiece of a study of the darker side of society. As usual for Kubrick, the scenes are almost dreamlike and flow from one disturbing element to another."
