A History of Violence

This masterpiece by David Cronenberg (who presents a very different movie from his previous ones) starring Viggo Mortensen tells us the story of a man that becomes a hero, and how that changes his life... for worse.

"If had this on VHS, the bit where Maria Bello dresses up in the cheerleader outfit and her and Viggo get it on would have worn through the tape. This movie has no flaws. Period. While Eastern Promises is arguably a more obtainable mainstream, A History of Violence is where Cronenberg and Mortensen's collaboration really took off. And, the parts that are violent? They really are!"

"Great film. If I am not mistaken, A History of Violence is the movie where William Hurt received an Academy Award nomination for best-supporting actor. This is also the best performance by Viggo Mortensen in any movie. Overall, this is one crime thriller film you shouldn't miss."
