"I guess this is, or could be, a good movie for fathers, but it's not exactly a feel-good movie for fathers. Then again, fatherhood is not all about feeling good -- not at all. While the title suggested something I might like to watch with my daughter on movie night, I'm glad I checked it out first. We like to keep movie night a bit more light-hearted. That said, I am glad I watched it."

"This movie is about the effects of a father upon his daughter and how she forms relationships as an adult. The movie had some good points but my father, who I gave the movie to as gift, thought I was sending a message about how he effected me. It took him a day to get over being miffed about it."

"This movie tackles about the lasting effects of childhood trauma, which has really touched my heart because I've gone through what Amanda's character went through here."
