"While comic based movies usually bring to mind things like Marvel or DC comics, you might want to try out something more obscure because you sometimes just might find something you like. That’s what happened when I came across this manga based movie about zombies. If you are into manga, zombies, or just want a different and thrilling action-filled adventure movie that is out of the ordinary compared to most comics-based films, I’d suggest giving it a try."

"I am a Hero is not the best disaster movie of all time, but it sure is fun to watch. I had not heard of this series before, I just wanted to watch a cool disaster movie and chose this one. I am glad I did. The movie is a lot of fun and has a good storyline. If you want a good disaster movie -- stick with the Poseidon Adventure."

"This movie is not usually the genre I would watch, but I had a teenage son begging me to buy it. We sat down to watch it together and it was surprisingly entertaining and the special effects are well done. I don't want to give away the synopsis but I will say its a pretty good zombie film, and definitely worth watching!"

"This movie is okay if you enjoy some manga and want something exciting. I found it a bit underwhelming. Awkward dialogue and execution of action scenes sometimes do not play well with international audiences, despite popularity in Japan."

"I thoroughly enjoyed watching this adaption of the hit Manga series. Very well done and immanently watchable. I was impressed by just how well the film captured the original story."

"The bar for manga adaptations isn't very high, but it seems this is a reasonably good adaptation according to the reviews. You can definitely see the influence from the manga."
