"I love me a good scary movie, and Ichi the Killer was one of the scariest I've ever seen! I was tightly in the corner of much couch, holding my boyfriends hand the ENTIRE time throughout the film! I had to pause once, because it was almost too scary, and that's saying a lot for me!"

"Takashi knows how to make interesting anf sleazy Yakuza films. Ichi The Killer is endlessly inventive, consistently intelligent and sickeningly savage. It is filled with squirting blood, throat-slashing, limb-hacking and other forms of mutilation so gruesome it's almost hard to watch for those who are used to that sort of thing."

"This movie was kind of weird and I don't really know if I'd consider it a horror film. There was blood but it wasn't scary at all. "
