"We all know that Ju-on was the first movie which actually made J-horror movies skyrocket into popularity. What sets it apart from the usual ghost house movies is that the curse is actually contagious like if u enter the house you're cursed as well as if you come in contact with a cursed person, which means once you got cursed time will only tell when you'll die. That is really sets it apart which differentiates i to other escape from the house horror movies eh"

"I am not a fan of foreign language film but Ju-on changed my view. The movie is not only scary, it really has a solid storyline. Also, it was steeped in Japanese legends and I learned a lot from the show. Now I have been scouring foreign language movies not just for horror flicks, but any kind of movies. It's fun!"

"This infamous movie will always be part of Japanese horror stories no matter what era you're in! It simply screams scary and will assure that you will scream. The suspense music is well placed along with the scare scenes. The sense of vulnerability it gives is of the highest quality."

"I actually really liked the Japanese versions of the Grudge movies. If you're someone who's into foreign films I'd recommend them. For everyone else, I'd just go with the American versions."
