"As a big fan of Gong Li I had to check out this movie. I have heard good reviews from several trusted critics and when I got done watching the movie I had to agree with most of what they said. The movie was interesting to watch all the way throughout and I never knew what was coming up next. Great movie to watch if you want to experience a different culture."

"I feel so proud for Chiyo. All her struggles paid off. I actually almost cried when it was revealed that it was the Chairman who was behind all of her luck and that he really helped her to become who she is now. I am so happy that they ended up together despite the thing with their age and first meeting."
