Actor and screenwriter Gianni Di Gregorio doubles as filmmaker in this 2008 Italian comedy-drama movie filled with good food and unlikely friendships. Mid-August Lunch is actually his directorial debut wherein he also portrays a man who loves enjoying glasses of wine all day while taking care of his old mother. Surprises come into play though, when he finds out that he needs to take care of more people to cover for his ugly debt situation.
