"Poltergeist might be an old movie but i believe that this should be on the top horror movies about haunted house. Yeah this is pretty tame compared to other haunted house movies out there but i liked it. And i still think this is better than its 2015 remake. "

"Ah, the classic Poltergeist. I absolutely love this movie. I watched this one when I was quite young and it freaked me out and I would have nightmares about it; however, after I got older, I learned to appreciate this film immensely. Although, unfortunately, most of my friends don't feel the same way as I do about this film--since they feel it is incredibly dated--I always watch this movie once a year (around Halloween). This is the first movie that comes to mind when I think of ghost thrillers."

"Any list about the best ghost movies out there has to include Poltergeist. A classic since it's release in 1982, the story setting still resonates today (suburban). The clown and tv scenes are truly frightening."

"Poltergeist is a famous movie from which the world first came to know about the term of the german noisy ghost. It is said that a police man/ detective were the one to name it because fo its patterned noise making antics."

"This movie is downright scary! I still remember my aunt made me watched this. I still have nightmares whenever I think of it and the fact that the girl who played Caroline in this movie died makes it even more scarier. "
