"If you like brutal revenge films with characters placed in worst case scenarios to make brutal choices to find their missing kids, this is a great film. There is a lot of violence in here, like people being beaten to a pulp. Definitely not for the weak at heart."

"Prisoners is an okay movie. I am a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal and he gives a great performance here as usual. However, I would not rank this in with his top films. The plot line is a bit lacking and never managed to really pull me into the story."

"A very interesting Crime/Drama starring two all-stars, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. Hugh Jackmon's character's daughter goes missing and he pairs up with detective (played by Gylenhaal) to investigate a case of no clues."

"Prisoners is one of Denis Villeneuve's best directed films. The movie stars Hugh Jackman. The two worked together great and between the acting and directing, Prisoners delivers an exciting cinematic experience."

"Jake, Viola, and Hugh? The Hollywood trifecta! The movie wouldn't be as good had it not been for their absolutely captivating renditions of their character."

"Paul Dano is such a convincing creep in this movie. He has such an innocent-looking face but he makes it work somehow. I got the heebie-jeebies."
