"First Blood is a story of a soldier with PTSD. I believe this is what our veterans are experiencing. They need care from the government because they experienced hell in real life. The violence in the movie didn't matter but the message of veterans' current welfare is addressed."

"I never was a big Stallone fan and this movie proved why. It has outdated characters and character stereotypes. If you like overly cartoonish characters in a live action film then you should go see this for the laughs, not the action."
