"From the trilogy that revolutionized sci-fi and CGI effects in general, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace should be ranked higher on this list. But then again, looking at this list, it is fair to assume that those movies ranked higher are actually better. While SWTPM is a good movie in its own right, I think this list is pretty accurate. Then again, if you factor-in the significance of this film, it portrays the origins of the most feared villain of all time, then this should have been ranked higher. Regardless, I am just happy that this made the list at all and the ranking is fair and true. Kudos!"

"Say whatever you want to say about Star Wars: The Phantom Menace but I feel that this movie is really underrated. The significance of this movie as it pertains to the whole Star Wars universe alone would have excluded it to critical reviews. Episode 1 is the best movie out of the second Star Wars trilogy. Just looking at young Anakin would make you wonder how a kid this sweet could ever become the greatest movie villain of all time. This movie deserves to be ranked as one of the best movies of 1999."

"When it comes to Star Wars, I am what you would call a fanatic. I love this stuff and can not get enough of it. The Phantom Menace is another example of great story telling and writing in the Star Wars universe. This movie set the stage for the next two movies as it lays the ground work for the story. Go get this movie and sit down and watch it, then be prepared to watch the rest of them as you will be a fan as well."

"This is a better band-aid solution just in case you ddidn't liked The Last Jedi. If you can tolerate Jar-Jar Binks in Phantom Menace, then you're able to survive The Last Jedi."
