"I think while this could qualify as a love story, it is not one of the best of all time. The story is dated and upholds the righteous man protects his woman theme that was so popular in the 1950's and 60's. This is definitely a movie that would benefit from a modern version, but even then it is not one of the best love stories of all time."

"I definitely wouldn't call The Apartment one of the best love stories of all time, but it is a highly entertaining and original comedy or dramedy that was really before it's time in having such a complex and risque storyline. But in terms of the best love stories of all time, I wouldn't even put it in the top 100."

"The apartment was recommended to me by a friend and at first I didn’t want to buy it exceeded my expectations. The director gave justification to every character even if the supporting actors stands out. Remarkable film that should not be overlooked by viewers because of its age. Its the best comedy movie!"

"I tried watching The Apartment because I received a recommendation from a friend who swore it was one of the best comedies of all time. Despite the great cast, the movie itself is just kind of a dud, plodding, unfunny, and unoriginal, even my 1960's standards."

"The Apartment is a charming movie, well-acted and beautiful to look at, but I don't know if it's among the best and most interesting things. It's definitely entertaining and a classic, so watch it for sure! But you can probably set your sites a little higher."

"A funny and classical movie of it's time. I love the actors and the style of this movie, and love to watch it on quiet weekend evenings when I just want to let my cares go and have a laugh."
