"I watched this movie for the first time in high school English class. It could have easily also been shown in one of my history or social studies classes. This movie does a really great job of capturing what it must have been like to be alive during the great depression. I felt like I was immersed in what it felt like to a poor family heading west looking for work."

"I'm probably going to get hate mail for this, but I didn't like this film at all. Yeah, I know it's a classic but it's boring and holds no interest for me at all. I'm not into history much and have always been a city boy. I'll take a good modern story of sci-fi anytime over this stuff."

"This isn't the best movie of all time, but it isn't bad. I did enjoy some parts of it, but I've honestly seen better. I'm more into classics like Doris Day and Rock Hudson, but this one was a little different for my taste. Not a favorite that's for sure."

"I saw the Grapes of Wrath for the first time in school. All of us couldn't believe how good it was for an older movie. John Ford is great in the movie and plays along side Henry Ford who deserves a nomination for his performance in this movie. Must see."

"The Grapes of Wrath won many Academy Award nominations and wins the year it was eligible. I would agree that this is one of John Ford's best movies. The book that the movie is based off won a lot of awards as well."

"What can I say? This is one of those movies that everyone says is a classic, but I find dreadfully dull. I have very unusual cinematic tastes and this one just doesn't do much for me."

"This is a good classic movie. If you like classic black and white movies this is a must see. If you want to see something in color and newer I’d recommend something else."
