"I love this movie. I bought it with English sub-titles rather than dubbed over in English because I would rather read the words than to have the lips moving out of sync. This is about a father whose daughter gets kidnapped by a mutated fish monster. The father and his brother and sister, along with the grandfather are doing everything in their power to find the little girl while trying to stay out of the hands of a biological unit that believes they have a virus. The movie is funny and dim-witted, but it can make one anxious at times and sad at other times but mostly great to be alive. I've watched it maybe five or six times now. And each time, it's just as good to me as it was the first time."

"Anyone who knows me is aware of how much I love Asian horror movies. I also love the actress Ko Asung, she has been acting since a little girl. Apparently, the Han River is polluted and the CGI beast is ready to roam on land. I hope that you will take the time to watch it-I hate spoilers and refuse to leave any here."

"I like to watch foreign cinema, especially Korean cinema. Some masterpieces have come out of their film industry in the past few years. That said, I did not enjoy The Host at all. It was too focused on the action and not enough on the characterization of the people in the movie, which I'm always very interested in."

"I remember Song Kang Ho from The Host! I watched this years back and it's still one of the most awesome monster movies I've ever seen. So intense! If you liked Song Kang Ho in Parasite there's no doubt in my mind that you will like him here too."

"The Host is still one of Bong Joon Ho's finest works along with Parasite. He is my favorite director and I find it cool that his movies in the past paved the way for Parasite to get an unforgettable and solid win at the Oscars."

"I found The Host to be both humorous yet also very scary at the time time. The fact that it is an Asian film with monsters in it was somewhat funny but on the other hand, some of the monsters were truly frightening!"
