"Well, if you start with one of the greatest Broadway musicals, then you're likely to have one of the best movies based on Broadway musicals. I was reasonably happy with this offering, but then I saw the Broadway play first. If you did so as well, then it may be hard to match that experience from film. It was definitely worth my time, but if you saw it originally with a top flight Broadway cast, then just go in with the expections that it will be very good, but probably not seem great to you."

"This is a link to rent (via digital streaming) or buy a copy of the 2004 version of phantom of the Opera on the Amazon website. Amazon videos are a great platform for streaming videos. For those of us with Amazon Prime memberships, there are two versions of the movie available free. However, they don't look as modern and exciting as this version. So, this is a great option for people who want the ability to steam a video off the reliable Amazon platform. "

"I really like watching The Phantom of the Opera, which is a full length feature film based on a Broadway musical. It's a rare treat to see and watch such great actors both perform their craft and sing all at the same time, rather fluidly, as they do here. A real, rare treat."

"The visuals are elaborate I must say, and gave off the feeling of an actual opera. Yet the story execution was kinda dragging and some parts were kinda confusing. So this movie is kinda alright for me."
