"The Revenant is a great film that explores betrayal and revenge and survival in the American wilderness. It has Western feel to it being set in the 1820’s with scenery reminiscent with the classic Western Frontier films. Its fairly new; I remember enjoying it a great deal with my roommate when it came out in 2015 and can’t recall any other cowboy film that came close to its quality in recent time. It is not your traditional cowboy film, but it paints a nice picture of that setting."

"This is the movie that earned Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar and deservedly so! You only need to watch the movie to see DiCaprio's ridiculous dedication to the part. Everything feels visceral and real and that's for sure because of DiCaprio's acting. The movie itself is also a technical marvel as it was shot entirely with natural lighting. 100 thumbs up!"

"Leo really did deserve the award for this movie. His performance is powerful and moving and the story will hook you right from the beginning. It is a brutal showcase of how powerful the forces of nature can be, but also how strong the human spirit is. I was happy that Leo finally won an award for this movie, and is very easy to see why this was the one."

"I saw The Revenant a few years ago and it was so powerful in its cinematography that I was surprised it had not won an award. It had a different name, Raspberry? I could not stop watching. Well worth watching for its superb scenes and intriguing story line."

"I was skeptical when I first heard about this movie. I thought it was jsut a massive gimmick the whole natural light thing but it was soooo good. It really added to the brutal, naturalistic feel of the movie. 10/10!"
