- "It's a beautifully weird movie that truly deserves its numerous Oscars nominations and wins!!! The story itself and the message it delivers that love has no shape left a huge impact to all who have seen the movie. That aside, the play of colors, the use of greens and reds in the movie to represent the development of the characters, are very smart and well thought. Bravo to this movie!!"
- "The new movie "The Shape of Water" directed by Guillermo Del Toro is intense. I mean very intense! It's not your average sci-fi film. It's sci-fi based on fantasy built on horror! The movie delivers intensity, fear, mystery, realism, and imagery that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is truly a deserving Golden Globe nominee for 2018. I highly recommend this film even if you aren't necessarily a sci-fi junkie. This movie is very well written and superbly acted and unlike any sci-fi movie you've ever seen. You don't want to miss this one!"

I don't expect it to win Best Picture but it should still get its share of awards.""I can't believe how incredible the new movie The Shape of Water is. Written and created by a most brilliant mind, this is a film I will be thinking about for a long time. I am sure that undergrads around the world will be unpacking this....as a mixed genre film, with its highly complex layering of ideas and interconnecting elements.....full of dichotomies and subtle nuances and not to be labelled a chick flick or light romance at all. So many current issues are touched on in this wonderful R16 creation and the set is a delight. If this doesn't get best film and best director at the OSCARS I will eat my hat!"
