What the community says about Watchmen
- "Bringing Watchmen to the big screen was no easy task but with director Zack Snyder on board, this Dave Gibbons adaptation really brought the graphic novel to life. The movie has more of an authentic feel than any of his previous work, this is adaption is Dave Gibbons at his best."

in What are the best DC movies"This movie is probably not a solution for DC movies even if it is a DC property. It does not exist in the same universe as the main DC heroes which is a little confusing for casual fans. DC movies should be Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Justice League.... or other characters from their shared universe."
- "The Watchmen was recommend to me by a friend when I was a teenager and have to say one of the best Graphic novels filled with mythical elements. I saw the movie and decided to pick up this novel because it spark my curiosity. The novel is filled with lots of action, dark themes, and super heroes bent on saving the world.? I highly recommend it to anyone who have seen the movie and you won't be disappointed if you picked up this novel."
- "I liked the book better (which I always do anyway) but that definitely doesn't make this movie bad by any definition of the word. I thought the movie was well directed and the acting was pretty good, but I just can't help myself from nit-picking all the differences I find throughout the book and in the movie. If you're like me and you constantly nit-pick all the differences between film and novel, I'd say just give the book a chance. If you haven't read the book, you'll probably enjoy the movie more."
- "The Watchmen comics were a thesis on the genre of superhero comics, but the movie had to look at the meaning of being hero because it couldn't use the theme of the comic. Still, it was quite engaging and this movie was really well made. More superhero movies should try to have the type of depth that Watchmen achieved.""There's something about superhero movies that just fascinate me. I like battles of good and evil, but also scenarios where the lines between good and evil aren't so clearly drawn. The movie Watchmen, adapted from a graphic novel, is just such a superhero movie. And not coincidentally, it's one of my favorites. ""This was an amazing superhero movie. It was probably the most faithful comic adaptation I have ever seen. That may be a turnoff for some people because it is long and sometimes slowly paced, but overall the imagery and characters were amazing. I loved this movie."
