David Lynch

David Lynch is an American filmmaker known for his highly-acclaimed motion pictures Eraserhead in 1997, Blue Velvet in 1986, and Mullholland in 2001. He was labeled "the first popular Surrealist" by the late American film critic Pauline Kael for his 1990 TV series Twin Peaks. His accolades include winning France's César Award for Best Foreign Film twice,  the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and a Golden Lion award at the Venice Film Festival. Lynch also received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director, and become a recipient of an Academy Honorary Award in 2019.
