"The article on Gary Marshall on Wikipedia seems very thorough, listing the tv shows and movies he has worked on through the years. Generally, Wikipedia can be a great site for getting an overview on a topic quickly. The one problem I have with it, and that most people may not appreciate, is that it is not like a peer-reviewed journal article. The whole point of Wikipedia is to tap into the collective minds of people so anyone can post which means it can be biased. With that being said, the article on Garry Marshall is pretty straightforward so I think it's a good solution for this question. "

"I grew up watching Happy Days, but never knew the name of the show's legendary creator. Later I watched Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries, and again didn't know that Marshall was directed these great movies of the 1980s. A talent and versatility like Marshall's is rare, and his death in 2016 continues to be felt by lovers of comedy everywhere."
