In Mythic Wonders: The Philosopher's Stone, you must find the hidden objects to unravel the mystery of your missing uncle.

Find Those Objects

Mythic Wonders is a hidden objects puzzle game set in a beautifully crafted, hand painted world. You play as Emma, who begins the game waking up from a nightmare and finding that a mysterious creature is threatening her uncle. The gameplay is fairly standard fare for the hidden objects genre, so bare that in mind when considering whether to buy this game; if you're not a fan of the genre, you won't like this. If, however, you do like the genre, you will find a game full of breathtaking artwork, immersive audio, and well written dialogue. There are nearly fifty puzzles and over twenty scenes to play through. For the most part, the puzzles are well thought out and engaging, though some can be frustrating, and the game isn't always clear about what should happen next.

Great Art, Good Gameplay

Visually, Mythic Wonders: The Philosopher's Stone is stunning, that much is certain. The gameplay is good but not great. There is plenty to do but it's not always apparent you should be doing. Still, this only a minor slight on a very good game that any fan of the genre should try.

PROS

  • Beautiful art style
  • Lots of puzzles

CONS

  • Some puzzles frustrating
  • Not always clear what's next
