"If there is one thing that HBO does well is make great TV series. I would have to say that Game of Thrones is probably my favorite series from HBO currently. My only complaint is the gap in entertainment until a new season is released, so I gave Deadwood a try. I have never been a fan of Western style TV shows and unfortunately this show does not change my opinion. Deadwood will provide appeal to someone who are looking for shows like Game of Thrones or TV westerns, it is just not for me. "

"Deadwood is a realistic look at the Old West and should not be missed. Because the series shows the times for what they were adds power to the shows versus diminishing them. As a period piece, it is astonishing, full of painfully muddy streets filled with illness and spilled blood. Possibly the best drama ever created for television."

"I really enjoyed Deadwood, but I wish they made more of it. The show didn't run long enough. The story is great, and the setting is very unique for the western genre. This show is very gritty and dark, and not normally what you'd think of when it comes to westerns."

"Deadwood is a really good HBO show, but I don't know if I would call it one of the best. The thing is, HBO has so many great shows that it's very hard to be the best. So even if it's not top 3, it's still really good and worth watching."

"I absolutely loved Deadwood when it originally aired. I definitely would count it as one of the top 3 HBO shows of all time. The only thing that disappointed me was that the seller was in the UK and doesn't deliver to the States."

"I mean, it is a western themed TV show but its definitely not the "best" out there. Deadwood is pretty new too considering it came out in 2004 but it doesn't beat the classics that came out in the 60's-80's."
