"As a lover of Avatar: The Last Airbender (and anime in general), Dragon Ball Z Kai is over the top! The action, adventure, and fight scenes are mindblowing. I can't watch this enough! I love to yell like Goku!"

"My kids and I loved the Avatar series and I have never really found a replacement. I don't really care for the Dragon Ball Z Kai series or any Dragon Ball really. I would not think of this a replacement."

"I'm not sure if this is an acceptable solution or not. I haven't seen either anime's so I can't speak for the relatedness of them. However, since it is an anime, I would think it's semi-acceptable. "

"Decent series, but I was more a Macross/Sailor Moon type fan than Dragon Ball Z. If you are a fan (one of the kids is), this is a great version of this, as its not edited like the Nicktoons version. The 16x9 presentation blurs things up a bit, but the kiddo doesn't seem to mind. Just "ok," not exactly my cup of tea."

"A retake on a really old anime, DBZKai is basically a remaster of the original. I personally can't stand it, and hate how pervasive it's become in our culture, but I guess if you're looking for an action anime, you could do a lot worse."

"I'm not sure this is "the best." The reviews seem scattered. Some have loved it, others feel more mediocre. It is action anime, and might fulfill one's desire for such content. "

"Dragon Ball Z Kai is supposed to be updated Dragon Ball Z, but it is really just an overpriced repackaging. Not updates or improvements, just bigger price tag."

"This show is not really for me but my kids like it. I was happy that it didn't cost me too much to order this and at least the quality of it seemed pretty good."

"If you're a fan of Dragon Ball Z, then Kai is definitely worth watching. It cuts a lot of the more pointless filler and improves the quality of the animation."
