A young man competes with people around the world for a chance to become the successor of God, with a diary that is able to tell the future. Future Diary (Mirai Nikki) also spawned a live-action television show with a different plot from the manga and anime, as well as a visual novel.

- #1February 21, 2017"I love Future Diary. This is an awesome sci Fi fantasy story about a boy who is a loner. He decides to start a diary on his cell phone. He creates an imaginary character that he talks to that he pretends to be the God of time and space. Little does he know that his character ends up being not so imaginary. And this fictitious character makes the main character participate in a battle with 12 other people to become the next God of time and space. Each of the 12 competitors is given a diary that has secrets of the future. And they must all use the diary to survive. The story has a lot of action and mystery. And there is a girlfriend involved. And it's a really great suspense thriller. I highly recommend it."

Of course it's not the same show as Death Note and it shouldn't be judged that way, but it has some really interesting elements and it kept my attention the whole time, I was excited to see each new episode, see how the story progressed and what happened to the characters. I enjoyed it quite a lot and plan on re-watching it soon, which to me is really the sign of a quality anime."

Yuki's character progression is also really fun to watch. It gets quite violent and dark at times which can be fun but it doesn't take itself too incredibly seriously. To top it off it has some great plot twists and the end will really throw you for a whirl. I would definitely recommend watching it."
