"It wouldn't really hit me until you made the comparison, but yes, this could definitely be an alternative to GoT. While it's not an exact clone or anything it does prove to showcase the struggle of kingdoms and even without comparing it, this is a solid show."

"Like Game of Thrones, Marco Polo features adventure and excitement in almost fantastical parts of the world. It features the titular character when he is young and in the Kublai-Kahn court. "

"Marco Polo is a historical drama which includes political intrigue similar to Game of Thrones. It does not quite have the same fantasy element however. "

"A good show like game of thrones to watch if you haven't yet. It's a little slow in the beginning but it really gets good after. Give it a shot."

"I am so glad someone finally decided to make a generously budgeted Marco Polo miniseries. The story of his life is just so fantastic. I love seeing the exotic times and places. The fact that the star is pretty easy on the eyes is a definite plus. It's shows like this that make me subscribe to Netflix."
