"While it's kind of the classic concept of "kid playing video game, gets sucked in", it is really done in a beautiful way. The visuals in this show are absolutely stunning. While some describe it as a bit underwhelming, I think this show is great for MMORPG fans, but don't expect TONS of monsters, etc. I think it has more depth than some shows that rely on too much fluff, etc."

"Overlord is an extremely good Video Game anime for the genre. The characters are over powered but the show plays around with that. And shifts focus to the story and characters. If you were only going to watch one episode, I would watch season 1 episode 3 as it is easy to jump into and that episode is where things really start getting fun."

"Overlord is a great anime. I recommend it to anime fans as well as mmorpg fans that may not care for anime. It has things that would appeal to both groups. Especially the fantasy of every mmorpg player - becoming their character in the real world."

"I love watching anime but I have never heard the name Overlord. After checking the solution and also IMDB I am still not convinced that it is really that good to watch. I may try an episode though to see what it is though."

"i mean, overly powered villain making a living in an upside down world? very similar to devil part timer but with its own identity as an isekai anime. bit weird to get used to the idea of following the VILLAIN though"

"Hmm watching overlord reminds me of the anime franchise Hack// they both revolve around the plot of getting trapped in a video game. I recommend this isekai to all anime lovers who are into MMORPG setting."

"I'm pretty sure I've seen this stuck to a video game story arc before but the execution in OverLord and the details about Yggdrasil and the characters is what made it stand out 👍"

"What I feel that sets Overlord apart from other top isekai anime is that it has its own twist despite its "stuck in an MMO" theme. Still enjoyable every time I watch it"

"This show has everything. The animation is great, the characters and the story are interesting, and there is plenty of magic action to be had. A good magic anime to consider."
