"I am a parent so usually i check what my children ages 10 to 12 what they watch to see if it is appropriate for them. It was a pretty decent anime not until I saw  the last epsiode of season 1 as it contains scenes that is somehow showing an attempted rape scene. But all in all this was an amazing anime combining heartwarming romance and action. "

"I'm a gamer and I've always imagined how it's like being in a game yourself, and SAO gave off that thrilling vibe. The notion that once you die in the game would mean your death in real life was really hooking enough for me. The art is really beautiful and the action scenes are amazing."

"Sword Art Online. SAO. The series that introduces a lot of youngsters into the anime world. The premise it's great: the protagonist enters a a Virtual Reality MMO where if you die, you die also in the real world. What's going on? Who's behind this wicked idea? There's a lot of actions, twists and romances... But also some letdown episodes. It's not perfect, but it's great and enjoyable."

"Sword Art Online is one of the biggest and most well received anime series in recent years. It has become a large crossover success and gone well beyond traditional Japanese audiences to make a mark here in the west as well. I love the stories and characters and have been a fan since the first series came out a few years ago."

"This anime is just OK imo. Interesting teaser and plot, but this turned out to be a fan service on later episodes. As if the directors created this anime to please some viewers. PLEASE. I want some realistic taking on SAO even if it's in the fictional world. But since it's become a fan service, I stopped watching."

"For goodness sake, Sword Art Online is NOT a manly anime. It panders to the whims of emo edgy gamer bois who are addicted to PUBG, League of Legends and Minecraft, and they wanted to become a gamer god with a harem full of hot waifus. If you want to become a real MAN, avoid this anime at all cost."

"Definitely one of the most popular isekai of all time. This is your type of romantic isekai that has some twist like okay i dont wanna spoil you but if you die in the game you also die in real life--that's basically the plot of the story. I am thrilled!"
